NHYBS Softball Division Information

The Spring League consists of the Major's, Minor's Junior's and Pony's divisions.

Game Times Games - The Pony's typically play 2 games per week. We make every attempt to schedule around school games, school functions, religious activities and travel softball teams. Game times are 5:45 PM (April), 6:00 PM (May & June) on weekdays as well as 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM,1:00 PM, 3:00 PM or 5:00 PM on Saturdays.  Games - The Junior's typically play 2 games per week. We make every attempt to schedule around school games, school functions, religious activities and travel softball teams. GAME LOCATIONS Pony's games will be played at Bundt Park in Clinton Township, North Hunterdon High School Varsity and JV fields, or a Clinton Township field as needed. Pony's will play a 10-12 game regular season. Requirements The Pony division is made up K-2nd graders. Teams are composed with friendships and municipality in mind. The Junior division is made up 2nd and 3rd graders with select 1st and 4th graders Teams are composed with friendships and municipality in mind. The Minor division is made up of 3rd-5th graders. Teams are formed through a draft with a strong emphasis on creating balanced teams. The Major division is typically made up of 6th-8th graders with the exception of a few fifth graders who have demonstrated skills that are befitting to the Majors level. Teams are formed through a draft with a strong emphasis on creating balanced teams.

Note: In the event that registration numbers are below the required amount to have a minimum of 3 teams per division, the board may at its discretion dissolve the Junior division of play to ensure that the Pony and Minor division have enough players.  Additionally were competitively advantageous the board may invite teams from other programs to compete in the regular season game play in an effort to expose the players to more opportunities to compete.
