SCORPIONS SC PARTNERSHIP WITH FC UNITED
For the past few years Gerry has been approached by both large and small clubs
searching for partnerships in the Worcester County area. Gerry states, “We tried a
relationship with FC USA for the past two years and had some positive experiences.
After having discussions with Paul and FC USA, found that our physical distances
between the clubs did not make sense to continue this relationship. UNITED thanks
Paul for the opportunity!
FC UNITED MA is very excited to announce a brand new, strategic partnership with the
SCORPIONS. This partnership will start with immediate effect and allow all FC United
teams to play as SCORPIONS United, in the NEP and possibly other leagues during the
2020-2021 soccer year.
SCORPIONS has been in extensive discussions with Gerald Padilla, founder and
President of FC United and both agreed the partnership will help both entities moving
forward. Like SCORPIONS, FC UNITED prides itself on being a club with a strong
“family identity “.
The partnership will also allow close collaboration with all aspects of running a club.
SCORPIONS will help FC UNITED strengthen ties within the local youth soccer
community, involve FC UNITED coaches in all aspects of Coach development as well
as assist in on-field training for all FC UNITED players’ and teams. This will also provide
a great pathway to the most competitive players within the club, with participation on
SCORPIONS Elite Regional and Tournament teams.
Gerry, president of UNITED states, “I am really looking forward to working alongside
Evan, Nick and their staff and think we can all create a really strong program, in the
Worcester County area”. Our Player Development and Commitment to Families are
identical. Gerry strongly believes the partnership between FC UNITED and
SCORPIONS will provide the Worcester County area with the best soccer opportunities
for our players. I look forward to working closely with Evan, Nick and their staff."
