2018-19 EYH Program Overview

EYH – Beginner Overview:

The EYH beginner program welcomes ages 4-14 looking to be introduced to skating and hockey fundamentals in a fun, positive learning environment. The program runs from October to March, with both practices and cross ice games. Practices aim to prepare skaters for cross ice game play, which will begin in December. It is not necessary, but strongly recommended to participate in Everett Learn to Skate prior to registering. Full gear and USA hockey membership required (found here: USAhockey.com). EYH – 6U Overview: (Birth Years 2012 & 2013)

Players will participate at the recreational competition level either in-house or with other teams from around the Seattle/Puget Sound area. Practices will be 2 times a week on average and will vary based on previously planned and/or added arena events. All games for this team will be scheduled through EYH and “Home” games will be played on either the Community Ice Rink or Main Arena. The fees for these teams will cover the jerseys, socks, practice ice time, games and referees for home games. All other costs for travel to away games, tournaments, etc. will be covered by the players/families.

EYH – 8U Overview: (Birth Years 2010 & 2011)

Players will participate at the recreational competition level within the Metropolitan Hockey League (MHL) with other teams from around the Seattle/Puget Sound area. Practices will be 2 times a week on average and will vary based on previously planned and/or added arena events. All games for this team will be scheduled through the MHL and “Home” games will be played on either the Community Ice Rink or Main Arena. The fees for these teams will cover jerseys*, socks the practice ice time, games and referees for home games. All other costs for travel to away games, tournaments, etc. will be covered by the players/families. *Jerseys must be returned at the end of the season to EYH.

EYH – 10U-A Overview: (Birth Years 2008 & 2009)

Players must tryout for this team. Players will participate at the MHL 10U A league (Washington). Practices will be 2 times a week on average and will vary based on previously planned and/or added arena events. Home games for these teams will be scheduled as ice time is available a bit closer to the beginning of the season. The fees for this teams will cover jerseys*, socks, ice time for practices, home games and referees for home games. No coaching stipend for this 'A' team. All other costs for travel, away games and tournaments, etc. will be covered by the players/families. *Jerseys must be returned at the end of the season to EYH.

EYH – 10U-C Overview: (Birth Years 2008 & 2009)

Players will participate at the recreational competition level within the Metropolitan Hockey League (MHL) with other teams from around the Seattle/Puget Sound area. Practices will be 2 times a week on average and will vary based on previously planned and or added arena events. All games for this team will be scheduled through the MHL and “Home” games will be played on either the Community Ice Rink or Main Arena. The fees for these teams will cover the jerseys*, socks, practice ice time, games and referees for home games. All other costs for travel to away games, tournaments, etc. will be covered by the players/families. *Jerseys must be returned at the end of the season to EYH.

12U-A1 Overview: (Birth Years 2006 & 2007)

Players must tryout for this team. Players will participate at the Tier II level within PNAHA league (Washington) and be placed in a “flight” within PCAHA league (BC, Canada). Practices will be 3 times a week on average and will vary based on previously planned and/or added Arena events. Home games for these teams will be scheduled as ice time is available a bit closer to the beginning of the season. The fees for this teams will cover jerseys, socks, ice time for practices, home games and referees for home games. All other costs for coaches, travel, away games and tournaments, etc. will be covered by the players/families.

EYH – 12U-B Overview: (Birth Years 2006 & 2007)

Players must tryout for this team. Players will participate at the competitive competition level within the Metropolitan Hockey League (MHL) with other teams from around the Seattle/Puget Sound area. Practices will be 2 times a week on average and will vary based on previously planned and/or added arena events. All games for this team will be scheduled through the MHL and “Home” games will be played on either the Community Ice Rink or Main Arena. The fees for these teams will cover jerseys*, socks, the practice ice time, games and referees for home games. All other costs for travel to away games, tournaments, etc. will be covered by the players/families. Players whom are not selected for this Tier II teams will be offered the opportunity to play on the 12U-C that will be playing in the MHL. *Jerseys must be returned at the end of the season to EYH.

Players will participate at the Tier I level. Practices will be 3 times a week on average and will vary based on previously planned and/or added Arena events. Home games for these teams will be scheduled as ice time is available a bit closer to the beginning of the season. The fees for these teams will cover the practice ice time, games and referees for home games. All other costs for coaches, travel, away games, etc. will be covered by the players/families. Players whom are not selected for one of these Elite teams may be offered the opportunity to play on the 14U-A1 (Tier II).

Silvertips Elite 15U AAA Overview: (Birth Years 2003 & 2004)

17U-A1 Overview: (Birth Years 2001, 2002 & 2003)
