2019 Wolfpack Boys and Girls U12 In-House Spring League on Fridays!

Back by popular demand, the Wolfpack will once again run a U12 in-house League for Boys and Girls.

Here's how it works.

  • Format - 7v7 (including goalies)
  • Games begin in mid April
  • 10-12 players p/team.  Teams will be formed and announced in April.  Teams will be balanced!
  • 2 divisions to promote competitive play
  • Games times: 5pm and 6pm.
  • Game fields: Hauke S. Bayfront Field, Bell Ropers.
  • ALL U12 Boys and Girls players will participate.
  • Games will run through May.
  • Champions will be crowned!
  • Parent coach volunteers will be needed for each game to help manage the sidelines.  We'll send out coach sign-up sheets in February. Trust us, this will be the easiest and most fun coaching experience EVER!
  • When the new league begins, U12B teams will move to 1 formal practice p/week and 1 U12 7v7 game p/week.  U12A Teams will host 2 formal practices p/week and 1 In-house league game p/week.

What's up with the in-house league?  Few things:

  • By Mid March, we'll be 4-6 weeks into our Spring season when the 7v7 league begins.  The kids will have plenty of practices under their belts at this point. In order to keep the passion & excitement alive, we'll be inserting small sided games in a competitive environment so the kids can simply play games and compete
  • The 7V7 format allows for multiple touches and action throughout an entire game.
  • As the season wears on, kids clearly enter the practice fatigue phase, especially at the younger ages.  The 7v7 1 hour game format will not only provide a new exciting element for the kids mid way through the season, but it will promote player development in a way that the kids will embrace in a major way.

Full field U12 NCJLA team assignments are not affected by the in-house league. In other words, players will remain with their full field team and continue to play their full field games on the weekends.
