What's up with the in-house league? Few things:
By Mid March, we'll be 4-6 weeks into our Spring season when the 7v7 league begins. The kids will have plenty of practices under their belts at this point. In order to keep the passion & excitement alive, we'll be inserting small sided games in a competitive environment so the kids can simply play games and compete
The 7V7 format allows for multiple touches and action throughout an entire game.
As the season wears on, kids clearly enter the practice fatigue phase, especially at the younger ages. The 7v7 1 hour game format will not only provide a new exciting element for the kids mid way through the season, but it will promote player development in a way that the kids will embrace in a major way.
Full field U12 NCJLA team assignments are not affected by the in-house league. In other words, players will remain with their full field team and continue to play their full field games on the weekends.
