Jason Schumacher  has been with the club for one year as the assistant coach for the Cobras FC Boys U8/9 travel team. He is looking forward to being the head coach for Boys U10  team for the 2017 - 2018 season because soccer is the sport he is most passionate about. Jason started playing soccer at a young age and continue to play through high school. After school, he played indoor soccer for ten years until he decided to coach his daughter and son at a recreation level and did this for a few  years.  He is looking forward to teaching fundamental soccer foot-skills and install a love for the game in his players.


Dom Bontempo will be coaching a u8-9 girls Cobras FC team. Dom has his National F License and has been a head Coach Cobras FC for 1 year and an assistant coach for Cobras FC for 2 years. Prior to that Dom was a head coach for GGSL 5 years and an assistant coach for GGSL for 2 years.  Dom also played for Cobras FC from '91 - '01 and then Aquinas from '96-'99 and then played for SUNY Morrisville in '00.   Dom currently plays in the local RDSL in their over 30 league.  Dom is also volunteers on the Board of Directors for Cobras FC and was a Board member for GGSL.


Greg Ranieri and Dan Gatto will be coaching a U14 Cobras FC boys team. Greg has played soccer for more than 20 years including college and local men's leagues. He has also been an assistant coach for many years at the travel level. Dan also played for many years as well as coached for Greece boys recreation prior to the merger with the Cobras. Greg and Dan are looking forward to the opportunity to coach.  Their focus will be to teach their players and get them ready to play at the next level while having fun. Dan and Greg will show the kids that the foundation of soccer is respect and that soccer is an easy sport when played the way it is supposed to be played. They will focus on the fundamentals and playing as a team. 

Mike Butler will be coaching a U8-9 Cobras FC boys team. Mike played soccer at Arcadia HS part of section 5 champion team in 1984. Played at MCC and was voted captain of 1987 team.  Mike coached in Cobras organization from 1999-2009 and also coached in Greece central school district from 1993 to present. Mike spent 12 years as the girls varsity soccer coach at Athena. Won two sectional championships. Spent last three years as the varsity boys soccer coach at Athena. Won sectional championships all three years. Won a state championship in 2014.

Peter Bournazakis will also be coaching a girls U8-9 Cobras FC team.  Pete was born and raised in Toronto Ontario.  Pete attended Rochester Institute of Technology from 1997 – 2001 where he studied service and hospitality management and also played on the RIT intercollegiate hockey team.  After college Pete went onto play professional hockey from 2001 to 2006. Pete is looking forward to teaching the fundamentals of soccer and empowering his players to get many touches on the ball on and off the field.
