SMOKE News for 2015

October 2015

Congratulations to the Livermore SMOKE 12U Fall Travel Team for taking 1st Place in the Monster Bash Classic in Hayward on 10/25/15.

This was their last tournament for the Fall season and they played great! They went undefeated, putting up 52 runs and allowing 7 runs total.

September 2015

The Livermore Smoke 12U Travel Team took 1st place in the NorCal USSSA Fastpitch Tournament in Pleasanton, CA on 9/20/15. After going 2-1 in Saturday pool play, Smoke went 2-0 on Sunday to bring home the Championship. In their first game, they beat out NorCal Hot Shots 4-3. In the Championship game, Smoke's pitcher, Avery Morris struck out 6 batters, only allowing 3 hits and 1 walk to beat out California Crossfire by a final score of 9-1. The Livermore Smoke 12U Fall Travel Team took 2nd place at the Queen of the Hill Tournament in San Jose, CA on 9/13/15 in the Silver Bracket. August 2015

Livermore SMOKE 12U Travel Team battled to win 1st Place in the ASA Junior Olympics Fastpitch Tournament in Napa, CA on August 2. After going 2-1 during Saturday pool play, they went 3-0 on Sunday in single elimination. They won their first game against Gonzales Wind 14-1, in their second game they beat the #1 seed Carson Valley Hot Shots 3-0, and beat out Pleasant Hill Panthers in the Championship game 9-8, coming from behind with a walk-off win. Livermore SMOKE took 1st place out of 9 teams. This was Livermore SMOKE's last tournament of the summer season. Way to go out with a bang! Congratulations Amanda, Avery, Brooke, Caitlyn, Erin, Gretchen, Jackie, Keana, Nayeli, Neena, Sadie, Sarah, Taylor, and Zoey. Coaches Aaron, Alisha, Dan, Joe, Paul, and Tom.

June 2015

The Livermore SMOKE 8B Summer Travel Ball team won their second tournament of the summer, the Capitol Sports Association ASA Junior Olympic Fast Pitch Softball Tournament at Incline Village the weekend of June 20th. It was a complete team effort as the girls rallied from a tough first day to sweep the games on Sunday to win the title. The Livermore Smoke 10B Summer Travel Ball team WINS the Capitol Sports Association ASA Junior Olympic Fast Pitch Softball Tournament at Incline Village the weekend of June 20th. The girls played inspired softball the entire weekend. Two come from behind wins on Saturday and a blow-out win in the Championship Game on Sunday highlighted their undefeated weekend in Tahoe. Great pitching, explosive hitting and aggressive base running lead the way to their first Tournament win of the summer season.
