Division Descriptions

 

T-Ball - (Pre-K and Kindergarteners for the 2021/22 School Year)

This program is designed for children baseball-age 5 and 6 years old who are interested in developing their skills throwing, hitting, and catching; often this is a child’s first exposure to organized baseball.  Primary focus is skill development in a fun and encouraging environment with some game-type activity.  With safety in mind, a softer version of the traditional baseball is used.  Games will be played on Sunday afternoon's or evening's @ Woodman Park. Teams will practice during the week on the day chosen by the coach. T-Ball teams will play on 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22, 6/5 and 6/12. On 6/12 the game will be at Founders Field for our end of the year celebration.


C League - (All Children in 1st Grade for the 2021/22 School Year)


This program is designed for 1st Graders who have a basic skill set (can catch, field, throw, and swing a bat) and are now ready for more of a commitment to baseball. The schedule will consist of 1-2 practices per week and 1 game per week.  Games are conducted under modified baseball rules with coaches pitching to each player. Practice sessions will focus on further skill development and game knowledge. Games will be played on Sunday's. 



Super C League - (All Children in 2nd Grade for the 2021/22 SchoolYear)


This program is designed for 2nd Graders who have a basic skill set (can catch, field, throw, and swing a bat) and are now ready for the next step in baseball. This will be the first year of player pitch baseball. The schedule will consist of 2-3 practices and/or games per week.  Games are conducted under modified baseball rules.  Practice sessions will focus on further skill development and game knowledge. Games for this division will be on Sundays and one day during the week. 


B League - (All Children in 3rd and 4th Grade for the 2021/22 School Year)


This program is typically designed for baseball-age 9 and 10 years olds, kids in the 3rd and 4th Grade who are ready for more advanced baseball concepts, competition, and commitment; teams will play or practice 3-4 times per week.  Games feature a 6-inning format with certified Umpires, base stealing, bunting, and players pitching.  At the end of the season, the coaches will select a summer tournament team from those who are interested in playing at a more competitive level against teams from surrounding communities.



A League  - (All Children in 5th or 6th Grade and any 7th grader that turns 13 after 5/1/21 for the 2021/22 School Year)


This program is typically designed for baseball-age 11-12 year olds and kids in 5th and 6th Grade.  This is the most competitive level of  baseball with season standings being recorded to determine a Regular Season champion and a Post-Season tournament to determine the Tournament champion.  Games are conducted using certified umpires and follow the complete set of ITBL game rules. Teams play 2-3 games per week; practices are at the discretion of the Manager. During the season and at the end of the season, the coaches will select an All-Star team to compete during a single elimination, one weekend tournament and a summer tournament team from those who are interested in playing at a more competitive level against teams from surrounding communities.
