Thanks for your interest in MABAs first ever outdoor shooting competition. Every event has slightly different COVID safety rules based on the location, number of competitors, and a myriad of other factors that go into making these events safe and fun for everyone. Here is a summary of how this event will work from a COVID Safety Perspective:
Mask Policy
All volunteers, spectators and players must wear a mask. Players are permitted to remove their mask while they are on the court shooting, but must wear a mask while waiting
Waiting Areas
While waiting to shoot, players should be in the marked off area adjacent to the court. This area will be marked in a grid to create a socially distanced waiting/spectating area for players.
Registration
To limit the passing of paperwork and money, registration for the event can be completed online. On site registration will simply be to check in players and direct them to the court that they will be assigned to. Please put masks on before getting in the registration line and remain socially distance while queuing
Spectators
Spectators must wear masks and remain socially distanced while cheering/spectating. Only 1 spectator per competitor.
Shared Equipment
The only equipment that will be “shared” is the basketball between the player and rebounder. The rebounder will be required to use hand sanitizer after each pod of 4 shooters.
Hand Sanitizer
Hand Sanitizer will be available for players, volunteers, and spectators at the registration area and adjacent to the court for players.
