VISITING TEAMS

Prior to your arrival, we ask that you review and share the following protocols specific to the Avon Old Farms Jennings Fairchild Rink with your team.

Please note, our program is a guest of Avon Old Farms School. We are strictly enforcing these protocols for the health and wellbeing of Avon Old Farms students, resident faculty, and everyday employees in addition to everyone from Avon Hockey and visiting organizations.

We would like to highlight the following:
  • All Rink Protocols and spectator restrictions are being STRICTLY enforced. Spectators are limited to ONE parent/guardian per household.
  • Visiting team spectator numbers must be provided to the Avon Hockey team manager upon arrival and will be compared to your rostered players on the bench. Headcounts will be completed during the game. Your team manager should be prepared to provide a list of all spectators in attendance upon request.
  • If a parent enters the rink with a sibling your team manager must tell both of them to wait in their car. Children may not be left alone on campus and must be supervised at all times in the parking lot.
  • If two parents enter the rink, your team manager must tell one of the parents to wait in their car.
  • If your team is found to have more than one spectator or a sibling in the rink, your program will receive a warning. If there is a second violation by your program, your program's games at AOF will be canceled.
  • Locker rooms are currently open and can accommodate ten players at a time while spaced six feet apart. Additional benches are available rinkside for players to put on or adjust hockey gear. Locker rooms are being cleaned between teams.
  • Please arrive at the rink no earlier than 15 minutes prior to your ice time. Players will not be allowed to enter the rink early and may not loiter outside the main entrance.

  • No parents should be in the penalty boxes this season. The time and score keepers can help with doors if needed.

  • Visiting 8U players should come to the rink fully dressed except for skates, gloves and helmet. Rinkside benches will be available for visiting teams to put on skates, gloves and helmets.
