•    Steve Koudelka - Coach of 2023-24 

    Steve has had an accomplished career since playing goalie in college for Gettysburg and two years professionally with the New Jersey Pride.  He has been the Head Coach at Lynchburg College for the past 19 years building LC into a national power.  Last year he earned National Coach of the Year honors at the Division III level as he led his Hornets to a national championship game appearance.  His team has made 9 appearances in the NCAA tournament, won the ODAC Conference 6 times and also has been named ODAC coach of the year multiple times. 
    •    Eddie Ranuska - HS Coach

    Eddie is the Boys Varsity coach at EC Glass High School. Eddie has been the Head Coach at Glass since 2010. He has received many accolades during his term including Regional Coach of the year in 2011, 2012; District Coach of the year in 2011, 2012, 2016. Eddie has achieved two regional championships for the VHSL AA in 2011 and 2012. In 2012 Coach Ranuska represented the US Lacrosse area as the Chairman.
    •    Tyler Zinck - HS Coach

Tyler Zinck is the new Head Coach for Jefferson Forest High School as of June 2018. Prior to his head coaching gig Zinck was the EC Glass Boy's Lacrosse Assistant Coach from 2015 - 2018. Zinck has previous experience coaching and evaluating the VA Brine National Team for the 2016-2017 seasons. Additionally, Zinck has coached for Valley Select, Cardinal Lacrosse, Maverick National, as well as multiple Nike Lacrosse camps. 

   Zinck graduated from Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax, VA in 2007. There, he was a 3 year Varsity starter 2005-2007 where he lead the team to 2 State Championships in 2006 and 2007.He continued his lacrosse career playing Varsity Men's Lacrosse at Stony Brook University in 2008. He then transferred to Lynchburg College where he played on the Lynchburg Club Lacrosse team from 2009-2012. He helped lead the team to become the NCCL National runner ups in 2009 and 2010. He then lead the team to the NCLL National Championship in 2011 where he was named the NCLL Player of the Year.‚Äč



   •    Kevin Gates - Middle School Coach

  Kevin Gates is the new Head Coach for Virginia Episcopal School as of Febuary 2018. For the last 16 years, Kevin has been the Head Boys Lacrosse Coach at Worcester Prep School in Berlin, Maryland, where he has helped 23 student-athletes play in the NCAA, including seven Division I players at schools including Harvard, UPenn, Georgetown, St. John’s and Furman. At Worcester, Kevin coached five All-Americans and six academic All-Americans.

Originally from Centerport, NY, Kevin won two National JUCO Lacrosse Championships at Nassau Community College before transferring and playing his final two years at Salisbury University in Maryland. After working on Wall Street for one year, Kevin went back to Salisbury where he served as Assistant Lacrosse Coach under Jim Berkman, the all-time winningest coach in the NCAA. Kevin helped Salisbury improve each year, culminating with Salisbury’s first-ever appearance in the National Championship Game in 1991.


    •    Michael Zumpano - HS Coach

    Mike has been a part of lacrosse at Liberty since the fall of 2010. Entering his fourth season as Defensive Coordinator, Zumpano has been a part of the growth of lacrosse at Liberty from a MCLA Division II hopeful to a perennial contender in Division I of the MCLA. The native of Clinton, Conn., played at Liberty from 2011-2014 serving as a four-year captain and helped lead the Flames to its first SELC Conference title in 2013. He earned All-Conference honors 3 seasons as player and HM All-American honors in 2013. Coach Zumpano has been involved with camps and clinics in the local area over the past 5 years. He helped coach with Lynchburg Selects 2018s this past summer and is passionate about the growth of lacrosse in the Lynchburg area.  

    •    Steve Bradney - Coaching Pool / Floater

    Steve Bradney completed his 15th season as an assistant coach with the Hornets. The Corning, NY, native graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1998 where he was a defensemen for the Bishops. Bradney earned his master's degree in Athletic Administration from Springfield College and helped guide the South Hadley Tigers lacrosse team to the Massachusetts state title game in 2002. He is currently the Director of Intramurals and Club Sports at Lynchburg College. Bradney lives in Lynchburg with his wife Debbie and two daughters, Tatum and Talyn. With the Hornets, Bradney works many jobs, but has done a great job with the face-off specialists.  Many of these specialists have earned all-conference honors, including first team honoree’s in 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2016- and second-team honoree in 2012.


  •    Bob Carter - Coach 24/25 Team

       Bob Carter is a U.S. Lacrosse Level III Certified Coach, the highest level of coaching certification offered by U.S. Lacrosse.  Bob is also a lacrosse official with the Southwest Virginia Lacrosse Official’s Association (SWVLOA).  Bob has coached and officiated lacrosse for years in the Central Virginia area and has served as officer and director for local youth lacrosse organizations.  Bob will be coaching the 24/25 team. 

    •    Allen Dukes - Coaching Pool / Floater

   In 2018 Allen Dukes joined teh Jefferson Forest coaching cadre at the JV level. Allen previosly coached for four seasons as an assistant coach with the Randolph College men’s lacrosse program.  Coach Dukes works directly with all face-off personnel and also serves as an offensive coordinator for the WildCats.  Dukes has played an instrumental role in the recruiting process for the WildCats over the past four years.   
    •    Addison Lineberry - Coaching Pool / Floater 

    Addison is a native of Lynchburg, Virginia and played at Virginia Episcopal School graduating in 1992. He also played Lacrosse at Guilford College in North Carolina as well as a few other club teams afterwards. His experience is more focused on the defensive side of the ball and face-offs. Addison is very involved in the local Lacrosse scene and has spent 5 years coaching for FYAA and is the Forest Lacrosse commissioner. He is also served on the Board of Directors for the US Lacrosse Chapter for Southwestern Virginia
