COED 8U - Youth Development (Grades K-3)
The primary objective of the Youth 8U program is to introduce boys and girls to the sport of lacrosse. Focus is put on the basic skills used in the game.We have three goals at this early age, to have fun, learn a ton and be safe doing so. Kids will learn teamwork, basic rules and field spacing. They will practice/scrimmage 2-3 times a week. Scrimmages will be local, and we'll always look for other local clubs to play, if not ourselves. Games are played with 3-6 players on the field at a time with no goalies. There are attackers, middies and defensive players. We play on a smaller (cross) field and have two 12-minute halves.Everyone plays every position to help provide more involvement and touches.
