Join us at center ice for a fun, skill-building, recreational hockey program for girls and boys in grades 4-8!
Program Description: Canandaigua Civic Center's After School Hockey program is a non-league, recreational, and instructional program. Participants will have one Tuesday practice per week at the Greater Canandaigua Civic Center.
Our goal is for participants to have fun playing hockey while learning about the game and developing the skills to participate in the sport. Our program is open to beginning hockey players as well as those who have played in the past or players who want to supplement their league program.
Format: Each session day begins with individual warm-up time followed by instructional skating drills and stick handling drills. The session ends with pond-hockey style scrimmage time.
Former McQuaid Jesuit High School hockey coach Al Vyverberg is pleased to be coaching our After School Hockey program.
Players provide their own equipment.
