Rangers Lacrosse Club

Ranger Lacrosse is comprised of a great community of families who work together to make a dynamic, inclusive and growing sports club.   Rangers Lacrosse Club goals are:

  • To continuously build a sense of community amongst our players and families through the various social events;
  • Support all our players through various fundraising efforts that fund equipment, field fees, coaches and other expenses;
  • Build exposure in the Vista Ridge area, showcasing our club, our teams and our players.

Rangers Lacrosse is a sports program based out of Leander Independent School District's Vista Ridge High School, located in Cedar Park, Texas. Our program participates in the Texas High School Lacrosse League (THSLL), Central District Division and the Central Texas Youth Lacrosse Association (CTYLA).  Our program has two components, a High School Division and a Youth Division. Our High School Division is comprised of students in grades 9th through 12th and our Youth Division is comprised of students in grades 1st through 8th.

Requirements for membership include enrollment in Vista Ridge High School for our High School Division or living in the Vista Ridge High School attendance zone for the Youth Division.  As with a club sport, you are required to pay yearly membership club dues, yearly US Lacrosse membership dues, participate in yearly fundraising, provide all required equipment, and follow predetermined guidelines set forth by our Board of Directors and the Coaching Staff.  No experience is required to join, but players are highly encouraged to participate in camps, clinics and off-season leagues prior to the start of Ranger season.

Our program is viewed as a club sport and receives no monetary support from either the school or the school district. As a club sport in LISD, we are required to follow Texas UIL "No Pass, No Play" Rules.  Rangers Lacrosse Club is a non-profit 501c(3) corporation and derives its funding through player dues, fundraising and contributions made by our generous sponsors.  Since dues alone do not cover the clubs expenses, players will participate in various fundraising activities.

The THSLL season begins in late January and ends with the Dll playoffs at the end of April or in early May (State playoffs).  The CTYLA season begins in February and ends in May.  The club encourages all Ranger players to participate in year round activities, including summer league and pre-season practices which will be held beginning in October.
