Dear Lacrosse Coach, Player, and Parents,

On behalf of Martha’s Vineyard Youth Lacrosse- THANK YOU for making the trip to MV. We are certain you have many questions about accessing the island of Martha’s Vineyard.

Here is most of the information you will need:

Our travel coordinator has all the information you will need to travel to the island.  Please email travelcoordinator@mvyouthlacrosse.com if you have any questions.

If you are traveling with a large number of spectators, Email:   and ask for a group discount.  They will assign one person to be in charge of this so please keep that in mind if you use this option.  

Once you are on MV we will arrange for a van cab or a bus (depending) to take you to/from the field.  The players and coaches get first priority.  The bus should fit about 40 people with gear.  If you have a large group please let us know so we can arrange additional transportation.  Also note that some trips may be shared with another team coming over. 

We do NOT have food available at the fields and the only bathroom is a port-o-potty so keep that in mind before you leave the ferry terminal.  We use the high school practice fields as our games fields, located at 100 Edgartown Vineyard Haven, Oak Bluffs MA 02557

Travel to Martha’s Vineyard is via Steamship Authority (SSA) out of Woods Hole, MA.

PARKING FOR MARTHA’S VINEYARD TRAVELERS

Please be advised that there is NO PARKING AVAILABLE at the WOODS HOLE TERMINAL.  The SSA offers off-site parking and free shuttle service directly to their terminal in Woods Hole.   The  primary parking lot for your trip to Martha’s Vineyard is the:

Cost to park in any of the SSA lots prior to October 14th is $15 per day and any time after October 14th is $10 per day per car.  Current/real-time parking lot information is readily available as you approach the parking terminals by:

The SSA recommends that passengers arrive at least 35 minutes prior to scheduled departure time to allow time for parking in the off-site parking lots and shuttle service to Woods Hole terminal.
