Here are answers to our Frequently Asked Questions:
When does Registration start?
Registration will begin in November 2017 and run through the middle of February 2018. This year registration will happen during registration meetings at times and places that will be posted on the website and emailed out to our contact list. Expect meetings in November, December, January and February to turn in paperwork and registration fees.
What forms are required for registration?
Completed registration, the Skyview Lacrosse Athletic Participation Packet 2017-2018 and a copy of the player's sports physical will be required. Skyview Lacrosse Athletic Participation Packet 2017-2018 is available on the website under the “Documents” tab.
Current US Lacrosse membership is required for all Skyview Lacrosse players. US Lacrosse membership provides essential secondary insurance coverage for players as well as providing numerous educational benefits. US Lacrosse membership must be completed directly with US Lacrosse before the start of practices and your player's membership number must be on the registration paperwork. US Lacrosse membership dues are in addition to Skyview Lacrosse registration fees.
How long is a Sports physical good?
Sports physicals are good for two years from the date of the physical. If there is more than one page, the athlete’s name must be on both pages. The physical must be dated no earlier than June 2016.
What is the cost of Registration?
High School – JV & Varsity $ 550
Registration fees pay for field rentals, coaching, referee fees, club memberships and insurance, field equipment, and other associated club costs. Players will receive a helmet wrap, team socks, shooting shirt, team practice pinnie and shorts with their paid registration.
How do I pay for registration?
Cash and Checks will be accepted. We will be able to accept credit card payments using Square. The transaction fee for Square charges are 2.75% of the transaction total. The purchaser will be resposible for this transaction fee to help alleviate unnessary costs to the program. We appreciate your understanding!
When is the Lacrosse Season?
High School starts on February 26th and goes through the end of May.
When is practice?
The coach will set practice dates and times. High School practices are 5 days a week and games are played on weekday evenings and some Saturdays.
How long is practice?
The coach will set the practice dates and times. Coach will announce the schedule once registration is finalized, and usually High School practices are 1-1/2 to 2 hours in duration.
Where are the practices held?
High School practices will be held at Ridgefield High School, either on the lighted turf field or the lighted grass field. Some practices may be held inside the school gymnasium, and proper court shoes will need to be worn for these practices.
Where are the High School games played?
High School home games will be held at Ridgefield High School Stadium in Ridgefield, WA. Away games will be held in various cities in Washington and in the Portland Metro area. Contact your coach for carpooling arrangements. There may be one or more overnight games out of town.
Are there directions to the field where my player is playing a game?
Yes, check the website for game schedules and directions to the fields. This will be available after registration is complete and games have been arranged with the leagues.
My child has never played Lacrosse before. Can they still participate?
Yes, we welcome all levels of play. Many of our players are new to this growing sport.
What equipment is required to play Lacrosse?
A lacrosse helmet, lacrosse gloves, lacrosse stick, shoulder and arm pads, mouth guard, and athletic cup. Depending on your position there are different types of pads. Does the club supply equipment?
The club does not supply equipment. You are responsible for your own equipment. However, there are places you can get access to good equipment. Big Foot Lacrosse in Tualatin, OR, Play It Again Sports, Dick's Sporting Goods, Goodwill, and players within Skyview Lacrosse may also be selling equipment or be willing to loan new players some of their equipment.

What is required of my player once we register?
Your player must be outfitted with the appropriate lacrosse gear. Players are expected to attend practices and games. If your player is unable to attend a practice or game, please contact the player's coach directly and as soon as possible.
