- Any individual with a physical or intellectual challenge may participate. If individual can participate in the traditional Little League Baseball or Softballprogram with reasonable accommodations they should do so. The Little League Challenger Division accommodates players 4 to 18; or up to age 22 if still enrolled in school. The Senior League Challenger Division accommodates players ages 15 and above (no maximum age).
Team are split into equal numbers.
Players that need assistance get to play along side of a "Buddy".
Games usually last about and hour to an hour and a half.
Practice accurs a minimum of 1 day a week with games on Saturdays.
- CLL provides a jersey, pants and a hat.
- Also, names and numbers are on jerseys.
- Athletic shoes or cleats are highly recommended.
Parents must provide a ball glove.
VOLUNTEER WORK? FUND RAISING
CLL is an all volunteer organization. We need everyone's help. Parents are expected to serve one shift of concession stand duty during the season and to support CLL through fund-raisers.

Flexibility and adaptability are key during Challenger games. Typically games are 1-2 innings long and last about an hour. All players play defensively and bat every inning.
What are “buddies” and what role do they have in the Chesterfiled Little League Challenger Division?
Buddies are individuals who assist Challenger athletes in the areas of batting, base running and defense, but only as needed. Often buddies are peer athletes who are participating in the Chesterfield Little League Baseball or Softball program.
What type of field are Challenger Games played on?
Challenger games may be played on our traditional baseball fields.
