Pre-Travel Skills Clinics
1st Grade born in 2010 & 2nd Grade born in 2010 & 2009
This offering is for children who love to play soccer and want to develop their skills with a professional coach with a view to play Travel Soccer in the future. Player behavior and willingness to learn are paramount.
The sessions will focus on technical development of each player with individual and small group training, all sessions will finish with small sided games to develop tactical understanding.
Dates: April 13,20, May 4,11, 18 & June 1.
Time: Friday evenings (Tentatively 5:30-6:30 PM)

Players who are not in Kindergarten
Glastonbury’s Hartwell Soccer Club is pleased to offer a Pre-K Soccer Program. All Glastonbury children ages 3, 4 or 5 ONLY and currently not in Kindergarten will be eligible to participate. The preschool program offers players the opportunity to learn in a fun filled session of soccer. It is an excellent program to introduce your child to the wonderful sport. The program allows children to learn about soccer through fun and exciting instruction.
What:
The program will focus on getting the children comfortable with the ball and fundamental concepts of soccer. The players will be exposed to basic soccer instruction and skill drills.
When:
The Pre-K program will be held once each week on the designated day/timeslot for the session you registered for. The program is typically held over a 6-8 week time period, weather depending. Session starting Spring (April - June) and Fall (Sept - October). Exact dates will be communicated prior to the season starting.
Equipment:
Each child will be given a t-shirt for participating in the program. Children must wear shin guards, cleats, bring a size 3 ball and water bottle to each session.
Cost:
The cost for the spring season is $95.00. Payment is required at registration. Unpaid registrations will be deleted and your reserved session spot will be forfeited. GHSC reserves the right to cancel any session due to insufficient enrollment or lack of available training staff. Upon cancellation, a full refund will be processed.
Volunteers:
As with any youth sports program, GHSC needs volunteers to coach, coordinate and help with other activities to run the organization. If you are interested in volunteering, please send an email to:

All Glastonbury children are welcome to play in our Recreation League. We offer a fun-filled season of intramural soccer. Team size and playing rules are tailored to the skill levels of each age group. Boys and girls play on separate teams. T-shirt uniforms are included in the registration cost. All Players should bring a soccer ball (Size 3) to each practice and games. Shin guards are required at all ages while cleats are highly recommended for play.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Teams will be created late March with notification to players occuring early June. You will receive an email indicating what Team your child has been assigned to. Teams will be formed on a first come first serve basis. Please make sure your email is accurate when registering a player. Please note: team placement announcements can be delayed while we look to fill all our coaching postions.
REQUESTS:
Practice night requests are not guaranteed. Hartwell will do it’s best to accommodate request during registration but it’s not guaranteed. Please do not call or email in requests. We appreciate your support and understanding in this area as we coordinate well over 1,500 players a season and we possible can't meet everyone's personal requests.
PLAYER TIME COMMITMENT:
All Teams practice one day per week for 1 hour and compete in a game most weekends; generally on Saturdays & Sundays anywhere from 9am to 3pm. Practices & Games should begin in April and the season is expected to end early June. Season start and end times are based on weather and field availability. A full schedule will be sent out at the beginning of the season.
FINANCIAL COMMITMENT:
Glastonbury Hartwell Soccer Rec program seasonal dues are $120 with an Early Bird Special rate of $95 if received by 2/15/18. Registration closes on 3/15/18. Payment is required at time of registration. Unpaid registrations will be deleted after 5 days. The Rec dues covers specialized training for the coaches, specialized clinics for some age groups, updates to town fields/equipment, coaching equipment, and team uniforms.
REFUNDS AS FOLLOWS:

Spring 2018 HS Competitive Travel
Hartwell's Spring Travel Program offers competitive play, with a corresponding high commitment level required. Girls and Boys teams will be created as appropriate based on interest and skill level (travel and/or premier). 2 practices per week and at least one game per week. Placement on a team not guaranteed.
ALL players must attend try outs, no additions to the roster after the try out date!
