ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION

Boys and Girls Travel Basketball

SCAA is pleased to announce our Travel basketball program is back for another great season as a member of the Fairfax County Youth Basketball League (FCYBL). This travel program is designed to provide opportunities for advanced players ranging from 5th grade through 8th grade.

Member organizations of FCYBL are limited to the number of travel teams that may participate in the winter league. In addition organizations are held to zip code restrictions thus limiting the number of players that are permitted to play outside of the club's assigned zip codes. Currently, SCAA has been granted zip codes of 22039, 22079, 22152 and 22153 for the 2021-2022 season.

Tryouts for Travel basketball will be held between October 3-15, 2021. As Covid-19 is still present we will continue to follow guidelines from State and Local Government as well as FCYBL. If you are interested in playing Travel basketball, please register for tryouts. There is no cost to tryout. Players trying out for our Travel basketball teams should understand this is a competitive program with limited available spots for each team. Those players that tryout and are not selected for our County Travel team will be available to play in our recreational house program.

Our travel teams can expect to practice during the week twice a week to include weekends. While practices will most likely take place at South County feeder schools, some light travel should be expected for games that are held throughout Northern Virginia (mostly in Fairfax County). Games are usually played on weekends, with a few exceptions. Please see dates, times and locations below.
