For the Fall 2022 league, each team will have two co-coaches. The teams and coaches will be set by the end of July and the names of the coaches will be announced then.
Those interested in volunteering to coach should go to the FEEDBACK tab and provide your contact information and a message on your specific grade interest and/or team on which your child will play. Also any other questions you might have.
The majority of volunteers are likely to be parents, but it is not mandatory.
An individual may coach more than one team, but the potential for time conflicts will be a factor in determining coaches.
Coaches do NOT have to be skilled volleyball players! It might help, but leading and having the team organized for games and practices is most important.
MRA will put on a clinic for the coaches before practices start. This clinic will address volleyball rules, the CPYVL rules, game strategies, various practice drills and basic player skills.
A background check will be done for all coaches.
