The Mariemont Track Club was formed in 1995 to provide an opportunity for area youth to be introduced to the sport of Track and Field. We emphasize teaching fundamental techniques and principles needed to participate in the sport. The Club’s goal is to provide a fun environment while introducing youth of the area to the sport of Track and Field. The Track Club is open to Kindergarten through Sixth Grade youth of the Mariemont School District and nearby communities.
Registration fees are $35. A uniform "T-shirt" is included in the registration fee. Registration fees include all meet fees. No other special equipment is needed except comfortable running shoes and a water bottle. You can play other spring sports while participating in Track. Just come to the practices and meets that you can attend.
Practice is at the Mariemont High School track (times are on the Home Page).
Attending practice is not required but attendance at a couple of practices before the first meet is recommended.
Tracy Feightner is the Track Director.
Our Track team participates in the CYO Track League along with 25 other schools (including Indian Hill, Seven Hills and CHCA). There will be five or six Saturday meets this spring including our own Invitational Meet on Saturday April 18th. The track season lasts through mid-May.

Additional Information for Parents
What to expect from Mariemont Track?
A fun and inclusive experience for everyone. All of the coaches are committed to make this track experience enjoyable for all everyone. You will need comfortable shoes, suitable clothing (ideally layers) and a water bottle.
We run in all weather! The only case we would cancel is during extreme conditions such as tornado or lightning. Please plan to attend all meets. Any cancelations will be communicated via the website.
1-2 practice sessions per week. All of our practices are held at the Kusel Stadium at the Mariemont High School. Dates and times posted on the website. Please label everything with your child's name.
5-6 Track Meets – Saturdays
Time of the meet is dependent upon Grade. End times are difficult to predict and change from meet to meet.
K-2nd 8:30 am (we are normally done by 11.00 at the latest)
3rd & 4th 11:30 am
5th & 6th 2:30 pm
These are great experiences for everyone who participates. Each athlete gets to run 2 races/1 relay and take part in one field event. Everyone receives a ribbon and is applauded by spectators! Attending the meets is up to you – the cost of the meet is for the athlete included in the registration (there is a small charge for parents/siblings) to attend.
Directions to meet locations can be found at www.ctcyo.org.
Parking / Arrival: The coaches would appreciate if your child could arrive at the Track Meet 30 minutes before the scheduled start time of the Meet. Parking is sometimes difficult and it also can take 5 to 10 minutes to walk to the track from the lot. Arriving 30 minutes prior allows adequate time to park and get the kids to their coaches for warmup. This is especially important for the younger runners (K-2nd) as the meet will start promptly at 8:30am.
Please report to your coach to check in. The coach will then determine which events your child will participate and pass out meet stickers. The stickers need to be adhered to your child’s t-shirt.
Coaches will be located near our Mariemont Track Club banner (blue & gold)
Team T-Shirts will be distributed in our early April practices.
Put your name on all things you bring to the meet especially sweatshirts & pants.
All meets charge approx. $3 admission fee for spectators. Coaches and Runners do not pay. Parents, sibs etc. do.
Playing other sports?
You can play other spring sports while participating in Track. Track will help with general fitness, running form etc. Just come to the practices and meets that you can attend.

We practice on the paved track only. The bleachers are off limits during practice. Also, no one is allowed on the high jump mats before, during or after practice without supervision of one of the Track Club coaches. Please help reinforce this to kids.
