Our United States military personnel consist of some of the bravest and brightest men and women in the world today. The Association of Christian Youth Sports would like to recognize the tremendous sacrifice to keep us safe at home and abroad, made by these individuals and their families.  The children of military families are most affected and can often experience multiple stressors before, during and after their parents deployment As a result, these children can be at a significant disadvantage coping compared to their peers in non-military families. In an effort to help better support our brave military personnel and to help improve outcomes for their children, starting for the 2016-17 season, all ACYS Developmental Programming will be offered for free to any child whose parent is actively serving in our military and  who currently resides in Orange County, Orlando. These programs include developmental soccer, basketball, football, cheerleading and cross country running. The positive effects of participation in youth sports is well documented and can be a very important tool to fostering greater personal confidence and self-esteem, stronger peer relationships, improved academic achievement and fewer behavioral problems. ACYS programming can and will provide this for these children. Please help us spread the word so we can better support these families and let them know how much we truly care, recognize and appreciate their sacrifice.

Participating military families will need to provide the following documentation:

  • Copy of the players birth certificate
  • Proof of active military status: Military ID with active status or military orders
  • Proof of residency: (i.e. utility bill, mortgage or rental agreement)
