Girls Lacrosse Club of Frisco hosts our 5th Annual Lax Gives Back play day this Saturday, October 1. The games will be played starting at 8:00 a.m. with the last games beginning at 4:00 p.m. at B.F. Phillips Park, located at 3335 Timber Ridge Dr. in Frisco.

View the field map to familiarize yourself with layout of the fields and tents. Find the master schedule here.

In addition, Player 2 Player Frisco will be hosting a FREE New Player Lacrosse Clinic from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. during the event. This clinic is for boys and girls for ages 5 – 15.
Current laxers and parents, please bring a friend or two with you to try out lacrosse for free. Our visiting teams are welcome to bring new player guests, too. Let’s grow the game while we’re giving back this weekend!

                                                                                  [  SIGN UP HERE  ]

Money collected during the event will be evenly distributed to three non-profits. Learn more about the charities by visiting the event HQ tent. You can also check out the charity websites linked below.

We’ll also have a collection point set up for Refresh Frisco and Frisco Threads. Check out their current lists of most needed items and please drop to the donation tent before your game starts:

PARENTS AND GUESTS are encouraged to contribute $1 per goal at each game. Goalie families, you may want to donate a $1 per save, instead.  Keep up with your total. Fury players will volunteer to walk along the sidelines to collect money a few times during the game.

There are two ways to donate:

CASH: Have dollar bills with you or be ready to donate a big bill. We won’t be able to make change.

VENMO: You can also send your donation via Venmo. Please send your total donation amount to @FriscoFury and list in the comments 'LAX Gives Back donation'.

NOTE: We won’t be staffing volunteers at the K-2 field. Please stop by and see us at the Event HQ tent if you’d like to make a donation.

We need some help to make this play day a success!  Please check out the Sign Up Genius link for volunteer opportunties. We know you want to watch your daughter play, so please select a time before or after she plays, or pick the score keeper or donation manager role during her game.

Fury high school players, please see the Sign Up Genius link to help with donation collections before your warm-up or after your games to earn volunteer hours.

  • Score Keeper[ Adults and high school players can sign up. ]
The Job: GLCOF will provide a score keeper for every game played on Saturday.
  • Donation Manager: [ For adults or senior/junior high school players ]
The Job: Keeper of the bag of money collected during a game. Bring all funds collected to the Event HQ tent after the the game. We need one for every game played.
  • Donation Runner: [ For any age, but would like to fill up spots with our lacrosse players ]
The Job: Walk down sidelines collecting money in decorated lacrosse sticks and share Venmo payment info for those without cash. Runners will use a modified lacrosse stick to take collections. After a 'run' down the sideline take any money collected to the Donation Manager. This year, make a run after every other goal or save.  We're trying to cut down on the amount of times we're intruppting the game.

We’ll have the Fury tent set up but won’t be doing a snack sign up. Instead, consider bringing an item to share based on the age group listing below.

  • K-2s & 3/4s: fruit
  • 5/6s: individual snack packs, crackers, trail mix
  • 7/8s: water or Gatorade/sports drinks (a few coolers with ice, too.)
  • High School: granola bars or protein bars

We can make a difference in our community just doing what we love - LAXIN'!

NTX Giving Day - Please Donate!
by posted 09/21/2022

Listed as Girls Lacrosse Club of Frisco

Good evening, Fury Family.

Thursday, September 22, is North Texas Giving Day. Hundreds of worthy causes will be asking for donations, and you may already have one or more you’d like to support. I’m reaching out to remind you Girls Lacrosse Club of Frisco is indeed a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to our program.

Registration fees are our primary source of income. We remain one of the lowest-cost girls lacrosse programs in North Texas. When you register your daughter for a Frisco Fury team, please know you’re directly paying for our excellent coaching staff (those not volunteers), lacrosse equipment, tournament, ref, trainer and field fees, medical supplies and other operational costs. That’s why we rely on fundraising to help cover some of these needs and additional wants.

Frisco Fury players have the very best Program Director and Assistant Program Director in North Texas -- period! Pam Henry and Amy Fortney, along with our entire coaching staff, believe in your daughter’s potential to be her best self whether she’s brand new to lacrosse or she’s grown up with us. #FuryFierce is more than a motto, it’s a mindset and an important part of our culture at all age groups.

We have more than 100 families in the program this fall! Yes!! It’s feels awesome to know we’re growing our youth teams again after stagnant numbers during the Pandemic. For all our families who contribute with your time and talent, thank you. We can’t operate without our volunteers!

I’m personally asking you to consider a donation because I care deeply about the long-term success of the GLCOF program. Being a Fury Family has garnered what I hope will be lifelong friendships for all members of my family. It’s helped my daughters build strong minds and strong bodies. In my 10 years as a lacrosse mom, I’ve had the privilege to watch confidence bloom in many young ladies who have become both fierce lacrosse players and fantastic leaders. I hope you feel the same or can see some of these qualities growing in your own daughter.

The fundraising campaign through the North Texas Giving Day link will continue through September 30.  If you work for an employer who is generous with non-profit donation, please consider requesting a donation on GLCOF’s behalf. Please share this letter. A list of needs (and some wants) for our organization are listed on page 2.

The entire GLCOF Board thanks you for any amount you can donate on North Texas Giving Day! Remember, we’re listed as Girls Lacrosse Club of Frisco or by directly linking to

With much gratitude,

Darcy Schroer
President, GLCOF Board of Directors

We’re hoping to raise $15,000 to help cover the cost of these needs in our organization:

  • $5,000 to grow designated scholarship fund for players who can't afford registration fees,
  • $4,000 for a 20-foot storage container with branded wrapping to hold all GLCOF gear and supplies in one place at Bacchus Park,
  • $1,500 for 6 indoor turf field rentals for pre-season and spring season rain out days for high school,
  • $1,500 for 3 turf rentals from school district and pre-game chalk paint lining,
  • $1,500 for A/V equipment to record game film and to capture photos for marketing, social media, plus printing costs for marketing materials,
  • $1,500 for equipment for existing and new players: lacrosse sticks, lacrosse balls, goggles, goalie gear and goal cages.
