U.S. tax law requires AGSL to submit a Form 1099 to every contractor paid at least $600 for services during a calendar year. The form is used to report income for Federal tax purposes (AGSL does not withhold Federal tax from payments to contractors).
Every contractor, consultant or self-employed worker doing business with AGSL must file Form W-9 with AGSL (not the IRS). This form provides AGSL the information needed to file Form 1099 as required by the IRS.
