We will kick off the 2020 Summer season with our Farm League games this evening. Games begin at 5:45.
We have uniforms(shirt/hat/socks/belt) for the kids and all coaches will have them to hand out this evening.
We are opening up for more parents to come inside the facilities but have limited areas for game viewing. We ask that as many folks as possible continue to watch from beyond the outfield fences. If you need to come in to the park please plan to sit in the areas outlined in blue on the map which can be seen here: https://www.leagueathletics.com/Default.asp?org=salemyouthbaseball.net We ask that everyone maintain social distancing and if 6 feet of seperation cannot be met, please wear a mask.
We hope everyone has a great 4th of July!!
No baseball this weekend but we are excited to kick off our regular season on Monday!

Good Afternoon everyone, we are making some schedule changes for this evening, please read the following.
Veterans Field, our back field, has many puddles on the infield and is not in playing conditon for tonight. We are going to have both groups have a scrimmage on Bergeron at new times.
Tonight's FARM LEAGUE Pods will be as follows;
Group A and C will scrimmage from 5:30 to 6:30. We will ask that players arrive by 5:15 so they can loosen up and we can start scrimmage at 530.
Group B and D will scrimmage on Bergeron at 6:35 to 7:35. We will ask that players arrive by 6:15 and we will send them down to the outfield at Vets Field to loosen up. As soon as we clear Bergeron we will get these groups on to Bergeron and start that scrimmage.
Tee Ball will go on as planned on the outfield of the Big field.
Our final week of clinics for our Little Leaguers begins tonight! Each night will run from 5:30-7pm. We plan to have the pods on each field have a scrimmage. This will be a fun way to end our 3 weeks of clinics and will also help us at SYB prepare for how to set up the park for game days after the 4th of July.
Tuesday 5:30-7 - Majors
Wednesday 5:30-7 - Farm
Thursday 5:30-7 - Minors
We will also host our Tee Ball clinic on Wednesday from 5:30-6:30.
ALL TEE BALL PLAYERS AND FAMILIES MUST ENTER THROUGH THE GATE TO THE LEFT OF THE PLAYGROUND. Before entering each parent will be asked the Covid 19 questions.
Once inside the park all players/families will head out on to the large baseball diamond outfield. The Blue Jays will be in far right, Red Sox in Right Center, the Pirates in Left Center and the Orioles in Left Field. Each station will have cones set up at the side of the station. These are set up for our families to maintain social distancing. When you get to each station please pick a cone and stay around it. Players will leave any equipment they are not using and their water with their parents. The stations will run 15 minutes each and at the end of the 15 minutes the team and family will move counter clockwise to the next station(shown in map).
If we have to cancel this evening due to storms we will reschedule for 5:15PM tomorrow evening.
Looking forward to seeing our Tee Ballers tonight!
We are excited to kick off our 2020 Summer Tee Ball season on Wednesday 6/24. These first weeks thru the July 4th Holiday will be skills based clinics and will run 1 hour in time. We will have 2 separate practice groups with 2 pods in each. Rosters were assigned last night and you should have received a notification as to what team your child is on.
Starting Wednesday, one group will practice in Left Field and the other in Right Field of our 90' Diamond at Michele Park. We ask that all parents plan to enter the field thru the gate by the playground. Each parent will be asked the Covid 19 questions before entry. Once out in the outfield we will have the players gather with their team and coaches will work with their pod for the hour. We ask that parents follow social distancing guidelines while entering and at the park and we will have cones set up on the sidelines to help show where parents should be watching.
We have ordered uniforms and they will be available just after July 4th. If possible, each player should bring their own glove, helmet and bat. If a player does not have a helmet we will have some that we can loan for the summer season. We will also have bats that can be shared and will be properly sanitized between uses.
