Heart of Gold

It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Deb Smith. Deb passed away yesterday, Sunday, July 24th.

Deb was the essence of kindness of genuine humanity. Her joy for the children and the NHYFSC transmitted on and off the field/mats. Deb was a highly valued member of the NHYFSC Conference board  for several decades. We referenced her as the heart and brain of the NHYFSC.

Anyone who knows Deb, knows of her dedicated work for the NHYFSC and most importantly the children. Whatever she was working on, the first thought in her mind was “is this the best for the children”.  For many of us, she was a close friend, an inspiration, and a wonderful counterpart. She uplifted all with her hones attend t attitude, strength, and sense of humor. Her smile and heart of gold will never be extinguished from our minds. She will be missed tremendously.

On Saturday, July 30 there will be calling hours for family and friends from 1-3PM at the Peabody Funeral Home 15 Birch Street Derry NH.  Interment later will be a private family ceremony.

Per Deb’s wishes donations maybe made to the Susan G. Komen Cancer foundation.   An account is being established in Deb’s name

 Thank you,

NHYFSC Board
