My my My my

In our current environment, living amidst the restrictions of COVID-19, we wanted to remind everyone of the CJSA policies we are following as a district and a club, with the support and guidance of the New Fairfield town Health Director. It’s important that we all work together to follow these guidelines for everyone’s health and safety, and so that we can continue our season without any interruption. While many of these guidelines are specific to travel games, there are good reminders for our in house program as well.

Travel guidelines have spectators (and teams) situated diagonally across the field from eachother this season to provide adequate social distancing during games.  You’ll be next to /on the same side of the field as your team players. Please reference the details in the CJSA game day doc below. Coaches will also do their best to communicate prior to games with a reminder of where to sit during a game.
Mask requirements
MASKS ARE REQUIRED! Spectators must wear masks at all times, no exceptions.  All participants (referees, coaches, players, admins) must wear a mask when coming into and leaving the field area, but are not required to on the field. Home team coaches will be checking to ensure masks are being worn. Again, please reference the CJSA game day doc for further details.
Daily screening
Please do not send your child to practice or a game if they are experiencing any symptoms. This goes for spectators as well. Symptoms include a persistent cough, shortness of breath, running a temperature or displaying any symptoms suggesting that the individual may be ill (from any contagious malady, including cold, flu, or suspected coronavirus). You can reference this self assessment tool as a helpful resource.
What do you do if you think you have coronavirus or have been exposed to someone who has? First, consult a medical professional and follow their guidance. Next, please make your child’s coach is aware so that we as a club can consult with the New Fairfield town Health Director. In the event it is necessary, we will advise if a team has been exposed to any risk and if practices or games need to be paused accordingly.
Quarantine & Return to play
As we are all well aware of now, the standard quarantine time is 14 days. This includes after traveling to states on the CT travel ban list, as well as after any confirmed local exposure. We also recommend you reference the document sent out last week from the NFPS district nurse as it provides best practices as it relates to reporting, quarantine and contact tracing.
Thank you for your continued support and for helping to keep our kids, our families, and our town safe!
