The Lawrence Hamnett Soccer Association has been monitoring the evolving circumstances surrounding the current COVID-19 Novel Coronavirus outbreak. We are following the lead of the local township guidance including Lawrence Township schools, as well as guidance from New Jersey Youth Soccer. Currently the CDC and the NJ Governor’s office which recommend postponing or canceling gatherings of more than 250 people.
In anticipation that most of the schools in our area will move towards virtual learning, we will suspend our pre-season training immediately until further notice for our Competitive Travel teams. We will continue to closely monitor the situation and will keep everyone posted during this period. Also, our Spring season is scheduled to begin with the next two weeks and we will wait to see what decision our Leagues make in relation to the start of the season.
Also, Spring Rec Soccer is set to open its season on April 18th. As we get closer to that date we will keep everyone informed on whether we will proceed or delay the start of the season.
We understand that each day continues to bring new developments and we will fully comply with any requirements and restrictions in order to keep our players and families safe.
