Complete your volunteer application ASAP!

As required by Little League International, volunteers (head coaches, assistant coaches, on the field helpers, etc.) must complete an ANNUAL volunteer application.

You cannot be on the field at practice or in a game IN ANY CAPACITY (keeping scorebook, managing the bench, etc.) unless you fill out the volunteer application.  Even if you have been cleared in previous years or for different sports, you still need to be cleared by HLL in 2020.

A copy of your driver's license (or other government ID), Social Security Number and 3 references are REQUIRED to process the application.   References can include friends, co-workers, etc.; basically anyone that is willing and able to vouch for you. (One must be familiar with you in interacting/volunteering with kids.)

If you’d like to help, please submit the attached volunteer application in hard copy to:

Hopkinton Little League
PO Box 32
Hopkinton, MA 01748
ATTN: Assistant Safety Officer

All applications are kept confidential.

In order to get you approved before the season, please complete your application NOW!

January Newsletter
***This contains important information about the upcoming spring season. We hope you find this information useful.  Please provide feedback to  .

IMPORTANT NOTE:   The date for the annual fundraiser was incorrect in the Upcoming Dates section of the newsletter that was mailed out.   The correct date is May 15.

Has your child's spring schedule changed since you registered?
Do you have an update to your child's schedule since you registered for Spring 2020?  If so, please send an email by February 15 to   with:
  • Your child's name and age
  • The day and time of the conflict
We will do our best to accommodate you.  It is very difficult, if not impossible, to adjust the teams after they are formed to accommodate conflicts.

For our younger players (generally 7 and under), we work with other sports (lacrosse soccer) to try and minimize game scheduling conflicts.

Please note that, due to field availability, practices can begin as early as 4pm on weekdays.

Volunteer Needs
  • Coaches for the younger leagues (ages 8 and under) - If you are able to help, please send an email to   and provide your child's name, so we can match you to the appropriate league!
  • Planning and running our May 15th evening fundraiser event.  If you only have a few hours before or the day of the event, we can use you.  Please email Andrea Rogers at  .
  • Prepping the fields for practices and games.  If you are interested in learning more about this, please reach out to Justin Rogers at  .
Thanks to those of you that volunteered through the registration process.  We'll be in touch as the season approaches.

League and Team Placement
  • League placement letters will be emailed by February 15.
  • You will hear from your coach by March 15
What equipment does my child need to play?
The only equipment you need to provide is a glove for your child. The league provides bats, balls and helmets, although this equipment is well used and not always perfectly suited to smaller players. Be sure shop Dick’s Sporting Goods the weekend of March 21-22 to get 20% off coupon.  The coupon will be distributed in February.

2019 Boston Marathon Charity Runner
We are proud to announce that Hopkinton Little League will have a 2020 Boston Marathon Runner, Mike DelConte from Medway.  This is Mike's second year running for us. Last year, he raised almost $7,500!  Read more about Mike and make a donation on our website.

FAQs available on our website!
We will continue to update as the season approaches. If you have any suggestions for additional questions to include, please email us at  .

**In the draft leagues, teams are made based on player abilities, in an effort to ensure teams are a mix of skills.   Team swapping is not permitted after the draft, so there is less flexibility with practice slots.   Please include all known scheduling conflicts in your registration.    Conflicts that arise after registration and before drafts (mid-February) can be submitted to hopkintonlittleleague@gmail.com.

In non-draft leagues, practice conflicts can generally be worked through, even after teams are formed.
