The Danvers National Little League baseball season kicks off Friday, January 8th with the Winter Workouts Program at Extra-Innings (Middleton). The 12-week program is directed by DNLL Player & Coach Development Director, Mike Moroney and assisted by Extra Innings Staff, qualified DNLL volunteers and DNLL Alumni. The cost of the program will be $100 per child. This is a great program to get the kids ready for the Spring season, and keep them active during the winter months.
The program runs every Friday night from January 8 – March 26 from 6 PM to 8:30 PM. The program is structured into the following two sessions:
6 – 6:50 PM for Little League Ages 5, 6 7, 8, and 9; born 8/31/16 – 9/1/10
7 – 8:30 PM for Little League Ages 10, 11, and 12; born 8/31/11 – 9/1/08
The last 1/2 hour of session 2 is a knockout game if your child would like to participate.
There is a limit of 25 players per session due to COVID19 restrictions. Please register as soon as possible to reserve a spot. If you have symptoms please do not come to the Winter Clinic. This is a fluid situation and rules could change over the course of the sessions. We must allow 10 minutes in between sessions before players can enter the facility.
All players must wear a mask and adhere to the Massachusetts COVID19 guidelines. Players must wear a mask at all times. They can only use their own equipment during the sessions.
NOTE: In order to participate in the DNLL Winter Clinic all kids must be registered for the 2021 Spring season for insurance purposes. Please register on the DNLL website for the 2021 season. You will pay and register separately for the winter session workouts at Extra Innings. See the registration page and select the correct session for your child.

We want to give a big THANK YOU to all our wonderful volunteers that were able to take time out of their busy schedules to help make the 2020 DNLL Season such a success. Without all our volunteers we would not be able to give our Little Leaguers the opportunity to play this wonderful game.
If you are interested in volunteering this 2021 season as a Manager, Assistant Coach, or just helping get fields ready or covering the snack bar please register on our website. If you were a manager or coach last year and can help out during the Winter Evaluation program please email Joe DeBernardo at
. We also love having DNLL Alumni come back and help out as well. It is a great way for them to get volunteer hours for school. You can also register to volunteer online.
Registration for the 2021 Danvers National Little League baseball season is now open. We look forward to another fantastic baseball year.
Like last year, registration is by age. The sooner players register the easier it is for the league to form teams. In addition, winter workouts will be starting in January. You must be registered with DNLL to attend. Registration for winter workouts at Extra Innings is ONLY available online this year due to COVID19 restrictions. A second email will be sent when winter workouts sign up is available.
If you are having issues registering please email
We hope our DNLL families and community are healthy and safe in these trying times. Back in March, when we suspended all league activities in response to the COVID-19 crisis, nobody knew what to expect or the impact this pandemic would have on us, on our families, our community and our way of life. As there are still many unknowns as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, including whether we will be able to have a 2020 DNLL baseball season, we wanted to let you know that we are actively working on it and would like to share with you what we know to date. We thank you all for your patience and appreciate you all holding out hope along side us.
Our current situation is this: DNLL has NOT cancelled the 2020 season. Rather, all league activities remain suspended as we wait for further guidance from state and town officials. On April 30th, Little League International cancelled the 2020 Little League All-Star Regional Tournament in Bristol, CT and the All-Star World Series Tournament in Williamsport, PA. That decision was made mostly due to the extensive travel and large scale crowd gatherings associated with those events. However, Little League International has NOT canceled the 2020 Little League Season NOR any local All-Star Tournaments. Little League International is leaving it up to the individual local leagues guided by state and local government advisories, to decide whether or not to have a 2020 little league season.
Danvers National Little League will remain current on all advisories made by Governor Baker and the Commonweath’s Reopening Advisory Board and all advisories made by the Town of Danvers as they begin planning for re-opening as well as all guidelines issued by the MA Little League District 15 Administration. We await any notifications, would be required to have field permits issued by the Town of Danvers and all of this will be subject to youth sports being permitted by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for this summer. To that extent, DNLL is committed to having a 2020 Little League Season.
There will be many variables and the situation remains fluid. If we are to have a 2020 DNLL Season, it will likely take place during the summer months of July and August. We hope to have more definitive information for you by the end of May. In the meantime, please be assured that, as with everything we do, player and community safety is the number one priority of DNLL. This situation dictates that we approach any resumption of baseball in a controlled and safe manner. As such, DNLL is working on a safety/health plan to mitigate the risks to our league and to the community once we get back to playing.
Please check back for updates, we will be releasing updated information as soon as it becomes available. Again, if you have any questions, please contact us at
. Until we can make our return to Tapley, please stay safe and continue to practice social distancing. This will help continue flattening the curve and bring us closer to an opening day! More info to come soon!
