Greetings!
Over the course of this summer, the Board has been working on a big project in the background. At the end of the calendar year, our current web hosting service, LeagueAthletics, will be shutting down. After much deliberation, the Board has elected to move forward with the company that bought LeagueAthletics, called Sports Engine.
Some of you may have experience with Sports Engine already through other sports. We are hoping that this choice makes for a relatively smooth transition to our new website for everyone.
On Monday, August 14th we will be migrating to the new Sports Engine site. Our website will still be found at www.chelmsfordyouthbaseball.org
Our current LeagueAthletics site will continue to exist until the end of the year. We will have a link to it on the homepage of our new site. That way you can still access the old site for any remaining 2023 Summer Season needs, including the Adult Baseball League.
We will also still be communicating through the old site until the end of the year, giving reminders to make the switch over to the new site, as well as communication regarding Tryouts and Registration.
We also highly encourage you to follow us on Facebook and Instagram if you do not already as they will be a great way to keep in the know during this transition period.
Once we move to the new website, here are some important dates to know about:
Monday, August 14th - EBL Tryout Signups go live!
Friday, September 1st - 2024 Spring Registration goes live with Early Bird Discounts!
Saturday, September 23rd - Tentative date for Spring Tryouts
Tuesday, September 26th - Tentative date for EBL Tryouts
Please note, all tryout and spring registrations will be found under the 'Registration' Tab on the new Sports Engine Website after August 14th
A special note for EBL:
The Tryouts Signup is NOT your registration. It is simply a signup to participate in the tryout. It has no cost associated with it. After teams are made, instructions to Register & Pay will be sent out. This is a little different from years past.
Once we move to the new site on Monday, the Board asks that all league members make an account with Sports Engine, if they do not already have one. If you are registering your child, you can conveniently make an account at the same time. You will need an account to register your child.
I know that is a lot of information, and there may be some issues that arise with the migration to the new site. The Board asks for your patience as we all learn and adapt to this new website. We will be trying our best to communicate through both websites during the transition so that no family falls out of the loop in the off-season.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
