Where do players 13-years olds and up register to play baseball?

The Easton & Redding Youth Baseball programs run through age 12. Once players are 13-years old, they are eligible to play at the Babe Ruth Baseball level on the traditional 60/90 baseball field (the “big field”).

The BGCRE hosts the Easton-Redding Falcons Baseball Program, which is managed jointly for both Redding and Easton players, who play together starting from age 13. The Middle School teams (13/14 Junior Falcons) this spring will be coached by College players as well as former Joel Barlow High School varsity players.  We will be playing in the CT Babe Ruth League.

We are proud to announce the addition of Mark Raymond to our coaching staff this spring. Mark is a baseball player, coach, analyst and writer. He is a former Joel Barlow Varsity player and MVP,  has attended Bard College, Fairfield University and is currently enrolled at Western Connecticut University. His book The Different Pitcher is meant to help High School players seek the most out of their baseball potential.

Baseball Update

To All ER Falcons Members,

First of all we hope everyone is well and healthy during this crazy time.  We'd like to take a moment to update everyone on the status of our Spring Baseball & Softball Season.    As we still continue to follow all CDC and all State & Local Health Department guidelines, we are beginning to discuss the opening of our Baseball & Softball Seasons and all health and safety guidelines that will ultimately become our "new normal".

Our respective Committee's and our Board of Directors are scheduled to meet the first week in June.  At this point we will put a plan together based on what the CDC, Health Officials and Babe Ruth Baseball / Softball recommends.  This plan will include all Health & Safety guidelines as well as all on field protocols which we will follow.

All of us want to get out on the field again, but it is important that the safety of the players, their families and the community is first, and foremost, in the decisions that we make.

Stay tuned!

Sincerely,

BGCRE Board of Directors
