The Arlington Travel Program is a competitive program designed for the advanced player. Arlington Travel teams participate in the Fairfax County Youth Basketball League (“FCYBL”) along with more than 20 other youth organizations from the northern Virginia area. FCBYL was created over 20 years ago to promote competition, athletics, and good sportsmanship. For more information on FCYBL.

The FCYBL league is run during the traditional winter basketball season. Practices start in October, and games are played from December through February.

Tryouts for Arlington Travel Basketball teams are open to all Arlington boys and girls and are held every year at the beginning of October.

Arlington Travel Basketball is separate from the county-run "house league," which is an inter-Arlington league that does not hold any tryouts. For more information on oArlington house league basketball.

Good evening ATB families,

The 2020 ATB Season remains ON HOLD. The Board has been working weekly, and in collaboration with Department of Parks and Recreation, to come up with creative solutions to get the season started but we simply can’t find a realistic way to make the season start on time.

Our peer organizations, which are overseen by FCYBL, are also on hiatus. There are many factors influencing this decision, but the primary obstacle, across Northern Virginia, is the lack of access to indoor gym space.

When (if) gym space becomes available, we are planning to stand up tryouts as soon as possible. An announcement about developments regarding tryouts will be posted on the website and sent in an email communication.

Please know that the ATB board will continue to monitor the current situation related to COVID-19 and will continue to collaborate with DPR to facilitate a return to play that is safe and makes sense for families and players.
