Run at your own risk!!!

The risk of not being physically prepared to compete, at outdoor meets. Outdoor meets can be extremely cold or hot, in this time of year mostly hot. Athletes who are not physically prepared to compete run the risk of heat exhaustion, heat stroke, cramping, dehydration, strains, pulls and asthmatic symptoms. Outdoor meets last all day and most humans do not drink enough water in a regular day to sustain proper hydration. Please bring water/sports drinks, fruit and vegetable for between running events which could be hours. Parents bring tents and umbrella to try to keep your athletes cool between competition. Those who have not come to practice may not be heat acclimated, many young people no longer play outside. If your child at anytime during the meet seems disoriented, dizzy, acting unusual, headaches, or vomiting cool them down immediately and seek medical attention. I am not sure if dale city will have a medic on site.

If you would like your uniform Mrs. Coleman is distributing the uniforms at practice.
