BBSEF in-person Conditioning Week of 10/26
by posted 10/24/2020

Hello Freeride Travel Team Athletes and Families,

We've moved Monday's session at Elm Grove back to 4:00-5:00 as it sounds like this is a better fit for many of your schedules. We have also consolidated Thursday's Elm Grove session down to a single session which will take place from 4:00-5:00pm. Although we've scheduled each session to last an hour, most of them run about 45 minutes. If those of you picking athletes up are able to arrive 10 minutes before the hour, that would be great.

We're monitoring Covid closely and with the increasing infection rates and local health district shifting back into a red phase, we will assess the prudence of continued in-person training over the weekend and through the week. We will email by mid-day Monday (and will shoot for Sunday evening if possible) to update you on whether or not we plan to move forward with in-person training for the week. This makes registering with Arn's program an even better idea as using the app-based approach will allow athletes to continue on the same programming at home. https://arnallemand.com/fall-athlete-camp

Thank you,

Treat

BRASS 101 Avalanche Safety

Education for athletes and coaches

Competition venues are well managed, but not so in the off piste areas nearby. U.S. Ski Team athletes Bryce Astle and Ronnie Berlack were caught in an off piste avalanche in Austria which took their lives in 2015. Now, your club, school or academy can learn how to be safe off piste with a free online avalanche safety program offered by the Bryce and Ronnie Athlete Snow Safety (BRASS) Foundation.

BRASS 101: Where Avalanche Safety Begins
  • 90-minute BRASS 101 webinar designed for winter sports athletes and coaches.
  • Follows globally-accepted five points of avalanche safety from the Know Before You Go program
