Hey everyone,

Great game this weekend!  Was a fun game to watch, the boys are really coming along - the coaching staff is extremely proud.  Was a tough game, the other team was good at handling and getting off shots (at close range no less!), but our squad played some great D and had a few offensive opportunities that kept us in the game.

Nice job with the Game Ball Award going to Jack for his fearlessness in front of the cage!  Goalie is not an easy position in lacrosse and we've had wonderful volunteers thus far...

A couple of things we will be working on this week:

  • Ground balls - tall grass taught us some lessons, cant be lazy!
  • Shooting on the run - all the boys wanted to plant both feet before firing, we missed a few opportunities
  • Clearing the zone - we have some drills where we can help the goalie and the defense make this more automatic, we turned over a lot of free balls in our zone
  • Running - because.

Happy mothers day to all the women who make our lives so bright, hope it was w a great one!

See you tomorrow

Extra games on Sunday mornings
by posted 05/06/2021

Lacrosse Fans - any interest in getting in some extra games on Sunday mornings at 9am in Eliot vs. Marshwood?  For the next month or so, we can have friendly scrimmages in Eliot on Sunday mornings at 9, if folks are interested and available.

Yes, that includes this Sunday - Mother's Day, and a few other Sunday mornings in May - so please reply if interested. Thank you.
(These scrimmages would be purely optional and comprised of the first dozen or so that wanted to play - in addition to the normal saturday morning SAYLL schedule.)

Go Seacoast!
