Hello MNLL AAA parents,
My name is Brett Jackson, and I will the Head Coach or your child this year. I am the father of 4 children: Logan (12), Tyler (9), Wyatt (6) and the princess of our family Piper (2). I have been involved with coaching almost every team my children have been on since they started playing organized sports (soccer, hockey, baseball & football). My Wife Kathleen would probably prefer to not have me not on the bench, but I cannot help myself. I truely enjoy coaching not only my children, but all the kids I have had the privilege to coach. I coached Tylers AA team last year, which was an especially challenging year with the pandemic, but we managed to get through the season with some added assistance from some of the parents. My Assistant coach will be Chris Stone (father of Wyatt). He is a good friend and father of 3, with Wyatt being the younger brother of two older sisters Dorothy & Sabrina.
I am a firm believer in equal play time for the kids. No one on this team will play more than another based on talent or ability. We will play as a team win or lose or draw.
Some things to keep in mind for the beginning of our season will be to make sure your child always comes to games/practices with a mask, bat and glove and water bottle. We will have a set of catchers equiptment for the team to share, but if you would rather your child not play catcher with group equiptment I understand & would recomend purchasing your own set if you would like them to still participate as catcher. I will send out a weekly reminder of when & where our games and practices will take place each week. Unfortunately, it looks like as of now our practice times will not be on a regular schedule. We will be at a different locations/times each week as it looks right now. Chris & I are truely looking forward to a fun season with your kids.
