I wanted to reach out with two important topics.
First, I wanted to thank you for participating this season with JAYBA. We had a blast working with your boys and of course it was great to see them have so much success. Stick with it over the summer and fall!
Second, I wanted to share a note below regarding COVID and a player from Hartford who tested positive on a team we played against last week. See the note below from the Hartford Director and Greg Winn from Jackson. Any questions, please reach out to Greg. But we wanted to be sure to share this with you all:
It’s been brought to my attention one of my Hartford 1 Boys Minor A team players has tested positive for COVID-19. He has not been at a game since July 20th which he played Jackson 2 (10 days ago). However, the player’s father is a coach and was coaching on Monday (7/27) and is being tested on next Monday (8/3). He currently isn’t experiencing any symptoms and is quarantining.
At this point, being 10 days out and your season is already over, there isn't much we have to do, other than notify the parents. If you have a moment, please notify the parents of this situation and possible exposure. Please ask them to monitor their symptoms and to call their healthcare provider if they are experiencing any severe symptoms.
Thanks again and see you all around the diamond!
