SAT PRACTICE ADDED & SUN EXTENDED IN RESPONSE TO CT SPORTS PAUSE
Greetings Ambition families!
I am following up on the message we sent earlier to make sure everyone gets this update ASAP!
WE HAVE ADDED AN ADDITIONAL WINTER SESSION TOMORROW TO MAKE UP FOR INDOOR DECEMBER SESSIONS:
SATURDAY 11/21 2-4 PM AT ST LUKE'S SCHOOL
EXTENDED OUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED SUNDAY PRACTICE
SUNDAY 11/22 NOW 1:30-4 PM AT ST LUKE'S SCHOOL
* Players will be broken up by grade into small groups
We are trying to get in as many outdoor practice hours with the team as we can before the “pause” starts on Monday. We will capitalize on the beautiful fall wather this weekend!
PLEASE MARK THE GOOGLE SPREADSHEET LINK HERE AS TO WHETHER YOU CAN ATTEND THESE UPDATED TIMES THIS WEEKEND!
PLEASE REPLY TO THIS EMAIL TO CONFIRM YOU'VE RECEIVED IT & RSVP YOUR AVAILABILITY FOR THIS WEEKEND
& PLEASE help us spread the word to your Ambition teammates & friends!
I realize this is all very last minute, as we respond within 24 hours to these new state imposed guidelines and understand if players may not be able to attend these updates session times. We will do everything we can to accommodate each player to deliver the instruction & time equivalent of the Winter program that they've registered for this season. If we are at any time unable to deliver upon this in a safe and mutually feasible fashion, or if we are required by the state to cancel any remaining winter programming outright, we will refund the balance of registration fees paid for canceled winter sessions.
It is looking very likely that we will still be able to offer some safe winter programming in December & January, even if in small groups of 4, whether indoors or out, which is CT State approved. We expect to have more detailed guidance of how this will looks and info from the state and SONO Field house next week. This winter programming will be adapted to resemble our first two weeks of summer practices upon the reopening of CT with non- contact drills.
See this link for some updated information as per above from the state of Connecticut :
Individual and small group training (4 people or fewer)
Individual and small group Moderate and Low Risk Sports (4 people or fewer) Girls lacrosse is moderate risk
Gyms (masks now required, no exceptions, minimum 6 foot spacing and other Sector Rule Safeguards)
REMINDER:These new restrictions begin on MONDAY 11/23 and therefore DO NOT AFFECT US THIS WEEKEND.
We are in a holding pattern at this time regarding our Nov 30. December & January sessions until we receive more specific guidance from SONO field house on the above restrictions as far as how many players we can have in groups of 4 on one field at SONO or whether we opt to move all sessions outside. Both options will likely be offered to families to align with their comfort level.
We will send an update as soon as we receive further clarification and guidance.
While we await this clarification, I wanted to ensure you that we are on it- and working hard to create ways for a meaningful experience for our players under these new circumstances.
This updated Winter schedule applies to ALL OF OUR WINTER PROGRAMS as follows, these adjustments will allow us to offer 4.5 HOURS of OUTDOOR instruction this weekend in case we need to adapt or cancel any of our SONO sessions in December, or you do not feel comfortable sending your child to play indoors or in a small group of 4.
We felt it was important to offer options for our players, if they would like to pursue them.
OUR SESSION THIS SUNDAY 11/22 AT ST. LUKE'S IS ON AS SCHEDULED BUT WILL BE EXTENDED FROM 1:30-4 PM TO ALLOW FOR SOME ADDITIONAL OUTDOOR TEAM PRACTICE TIME IN CASE OUR DECEMBER SESSIONS ARE TO BE CANCELED.
WE ARE ADDING A SESSION THIS SATURDAY 11/21 from 2-4 PM OUTDOORS AT ST LUKE'S, AGAIN, IN CASE WE HAVE TO CANCEL OUR INDOOR DECEMBER SESSIONS
WINTER 2020 UPDATED SCHEDULE FOR ALL WINTER PROGRAMSas of 11/20:
