Elite Champions at Tinseltown Throwdown

COB Goes Undefeated to Take the So. Cal. Championship in Irvine

The Chauncey Boys High School Elites went undefeated in the Adrenaline Tinseltown Throwdown tournament in Irvine. The boys stayed in Newport Beach and surfed and boogie boarded Saturday afternoon in preparation for the Sunday show down. We had players from Carmel to Sacramento and represented Northern California playing teams from San Diego, Orange County and an elite team from several western states.  Great lacrosse in the California sunshine!

John Christmas brings holiday cheer...

One of the all time greats of American collegiate Lacrosse ran an incredible clinic for over 75 of our most enthusiastic players in Los Gatos, California. John Christmas, an incredibly talented All American from the University of Virginia, hosted his third clinic for our club - The West Valley Lacrosse Club. The boys had a great time, and we hope to schedule Johnny for three more clinics prior to the official commencement of the high school season. Many thanks to Johnny and his fellow coach John Alpizar, who is the head coach from Bellarmine High School and a former player from the University of Albany.

Chauncey Boys Victories!

Chauncey Boys Return to Sandstorm
The U18 High School Ballers pose together after coming away with a hard fought win
against a "crusty and defiant group of hombres" from Orange County, CA.

A special "shout out" to all of our Chauncey Boys Lacrosse teams and coaches who participated in this past weekend's Sandstorm Lacrosse tournament near Indio, California on January 14-15 '17.  The balmy Palm Springs weather (low 70's) was perfect for our High School boys (featured photo) who came away with 2 wins, 2 really tight losses and a tie.  The boys hung tough and played hard in what turned out to be a very competitive tournament, with teams hailing from NorCal, Orange County, Utah, Arizona, San Diego and back East...
Great fun event...beautiful venue! Congratulations to Coach Logan, Zach, Steve, Keon & Andy!

COB U18 team dominates the "Turkey Shoot."
Our COB U18 team was the dominant force at the recent "Turkey Shoot" event held on November 19th-20th and sponsored by AWL.  The competition was stiff, including stand out teams from SI and 101. The boys went undefeated on the day, holding Team 101 to a tie and placed first in the tournament based on the day's performance. Congratulations to our highly competitive high school boys and our coaching staff, headed up by Logan Lichorowic. Our next major event will be a scrimmage in January with the much acclaimed Outlaws; and then onto Sand Storm in Palm Desert.

College Lacrosse Seminar

On March 17, 2021 at 7:00 p.m., COB hosted a Zoom presentation on how to get recruited to play college lacrosse.  Myths and misinformation about the process were shared together with the structure of college lax and experiences of players and coaches who have been there.  The "do's and don'ts" were discussed to help kids and parents maximize their opportunities to play at the next level.  The event was recorded and will be made available on request.  Email if you'd like to see it on yhour own time.

Coach Nespor Inducted to HOF!

Congrats to COB varsity head coach, Chris Nespor, on being inducted to the Cal Poly Lacrosse Hall of Fame.  Coach Nespor not only played for some incredibly successful CP teams, but coached them as well.  Impressive!  Proud to call Coach Nespor one of our own.

First Class Clinic

Duke lacrosse and PLL Chaos standout, Deemer Class, came to Creekside Sunday, October 11, to instruct COB players on offensive skills.  Reports back were that the clinic was "first-Class."  We can't wait to see the boys apply their new skills on the field!
