Just a quick not to say thank you so much for supporting the Summer Slam Lacrosse Tournament, we hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did hosting all of you. It was another successful tournament with great weather and some awesome lacrosse games.
I would also like to thank the Chesterfield County Parks and REC department for their continued support of the tournament, their hard work through he spring helped us have the best fields we have had in a long time. Also keeping the trash picked up and the complex clutter free. They also helped with the parking and did a great job which seems to be a big challenge every year.
Thank you to the large number of volunteers from various local high schools that helped at each field and ran scores back to the main tent, we could not do this tournament each year without your help.
Speaking of keepin the complex clean, thank you to each of the teams for doing your part in that, we noticed you putting your trash in your own bags and setting them up to be picked up. We all appreciate that and it shows that you to care and take pride in the nice facilities provide to us from Chesterfield County.
It would not be right if I didn't mention our Reffing staff, I know sometimes as coaches and parents that we don't care for some of the calls that go against our teams but I think we have the best reffing staff that can be assembled for a tournament. Thanks to Mike Rossenbaum for coordinating this for us year after year, they continue to provide a high level of officiating only found at the Summer Slam.
Work will be under way for next years tournament so be on the look out for information for SS2013.
Thanks again and hope to see you next time,
