Registration is open for the Bel Air boy’s lacrosse program's 2020 spring season!

 

Age groupings for the Spring 2020 season are based on the player's age as of September 1, 2019, per US Lacrosse standards. If you have questions about age groupings, such as starting younger or registering to play in an older age group, please see the FAQ.

 

 

Boys Lacrosse Coach / Volunteer Registration

 We are a volunteer-based organization so any and all help, whether it be coaching, lining fields, professional services, helping organize or serving as a team manager is needed and appreciated.

2020 Season Boys Lacrosse Clinic Age Group Registration

The Clinic age group is for 4 and 5-year-old players and/or first-time players who are 6 and in first grade who have never held a stick in their hand and want to learn the very basic fundamentals of scooping the ball, cradling, passing, catching, and shooting through group instruction. The only equipment required is a men’s regulation stick and a mouthpiece. Clinic is typically held on Sundays mornings in late March until mid-May.

Players who are 5 years old and have any experience with a stick in their hand, have an older brother who has played, or are fairly athletic should consider playing in the Pee Wee age group for 5 and 6-year-old players.

The base program fee is $90 and the program will accept registrations up to the beginning of April. All fees are non-refundable unless the player becomes unable to participate due to a medical reason.

REFUND POLICY: No refunds will be issued unless the program is canceled, the participant moves out of state, or a serious injury prevents the player's participation, prior to the start date of the program.

2020 Season Boys Lacrosse Pee Wee Age Group Registration

The Pee Wee age group is for 5 and 6-year-old players who have some experience holding a stick in their hand and want to receive complete instruction in the game of lacrosse. All players will participate as part of a team that practices during the week and plays fun-filled games on weekends. Players will compete in full equipment. The season will start in late February or early March (depending on the weather) and run through the end of May.

The base program fee is $150. We will begin to waitlist players after 66 players have registered and registration will close on January 1, 2020.

If you choose to rent equipment (helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, and gloves) from the program as part of registration, there will be an additional $40 rental fee. All players must supply their own men’s regulation lacrosse stick, mouthpiece, and protective cup.

2020 Season Boys Lacrosse Tyker Age Group Registration

The Tyker age group is for 7 and 8-year-old players, typically 2nd and 3rd graders. All players will participate as part of a team that practices during the week and plays games on weekends. Players will compete in full equipment. The season will start in late February or early March (depending on the weather) and run through the end of May.

The base program fee is $150. We will begin to waitlist players after 86 players have registered and registration will close on January 1, 2020. All fees are non-refundable unless the player becomes unable to participate due to a medical reason.

If you choose to rent equipment (helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, and gloves) from the program as part of registration, there will be an additional $40 rental fee. All players must supply their own men’s regulation lacrosse stick, mouthpiece, and protective cup. 

There will be club/travel teams in this age group for more advanced players. Players who are potentially interested should indicate during the registration process that they want to receive more information when it is available. Additional fees will be charged to any player who accepts a position on a travel team. For more information on the different types of teams, see our FAQ.

The 2029/3rd-grade team was selected in August after an open tryout. This team is practicing together in the Fall of 2019. Those interested in the 2031/2nd-grade team are encouraged to attend the Tyker Off-Season program practice sessions. In addition to the 2029 and 2030 club teams, Bel AIr may field teams that practice and play more like club/travel teams than traditional in-house teams if there is demand. All Tyker club/travel teams will be finalized after open tryouts at the end of January or early February.

2020 Season Boys Lacrosse Lightning Age Group Registration

The Lightning age group is for 9 and 10-year-old players, typically 4th and 5th graders. All players will participate as part of a team that practices during the week and plays games on weekends. Players will compete in full equipment. The season will start in late February or early March (depending on the weather) and run through the end of May.

The base program fee is $150. We will begin to waitlist players after 126 players have registered and registration will close on January 1, 2020. All fees are non-refundable unless the player becomes unable to participate due to a medical reason.

If you choose to rent equipment (helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, and gloves) from the program as part of registration, there will be an additional $40 rental fee. All players must supply their own men’s regulation lacrosse stick, mouthpiece, and protective cup. 

There will be club/travel teams in this age group for more advanced players. Players who are potentially interested should indicate during the registration process that they want to receive more information when it is available. The 2028/4th-grade team was selected in August after an open tryout. This team is practicing together in the Fall of 2019. Those interested in the 2027/5th-grade team are encouraged to attend practice sessions this fall and winter with the team as it is forming. All Lightning club/travel teams will be finalized after open tryouts at the end of January or early February.

2020 Season Boys Lacrosse Midget Age Group Registration

The Midget age group is for 11 and 12-year-old players, typically 6th and 7th graders. All players will participate as part of a team that practices during the week and plays games on weekends. Players will compete in full equipment. The season will start in late February or early March (depending on the weather) and run through the end of May.

The base program fee is $150. We will begin to waitlist players after 90 players register and registration will close on January 1, 2020. All fees are non-refundable unless the player becomes unable to participate due to a medical reason.

If you choose to rent equipment (helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, and gloves) from the program as part of registration, there will be an additional $40 rental fee. All players must supply their own men’s regulation lacrosse stick, mouthpiece, and protective cup. 

There will be club/travel teams in this age group for more advanced players. 2020 Season Boys Lacrosse Junior Age Group Registration

The Junior age group is for 13 and 14-year-old players, typically 8th graders and 9th graders not playing on a high school team. All players will participate as part of a team that practices during the week and plays games on weekends. Players will compete in full equipment. The season will start in late February or early March (depending on the weather) and run through the end of May.

The base program fee is $150. We will begin to waitlist players after 20 players have registered and registration will close on January 1, 2020. All fees are non-refundable unless the player becomes unable to participate due to a medical reason.

If you choose to rent equipment (helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, and gloves) from the program as part of registration, there will be an additional $40 rental fee. All players must supply their own men’s regulation lacrosse stick, mouthpiece, and protective cup.
