2019 - 2020 Wrestling

The Bloomington Athletic Association offers wrestling for boys in grades Pre-K-6th, with a season of November - March of each year. Sign-ups are in October prior to each season.

Practices are on Tuesday & Thursday's from 6 - 7:30 pm in the Wrestling Room at Kennedy High School.

The fee is $97.00 There is a $75 deposit for singlets due at first practice.

During the season, participants will compete in several in-house tournaments, and there is a city-wide tournament at the end of January at Kennedy High School. Meets will be mainly during the scheduled practices with a couple of Saturday meets.

2019-20 2nd Season Girls Basketball

Welcome to BAA GIRLS SECOND SEASON Basketball sign-ups.

SEASON: January - March 2020 

FEE: $95, fees will be collected when we know if we have enough girls for a team(s).

WHO:  Girls 3rd-6th grade.

WHEN: Games are on Saturdays'.  Cubs mainly play early morning and Midgets play 10:00-2:00. Games are usually in Lakeville, Burnsville, and Bloomington.

REGISTRATION PROCESS:  (NOT STANDARD PROCESS FOR BAA): Updated 12/9 There is a waiting list to see if enough players want to play to form another team at each level. Currently we have one Cub team and two midget teams. There is room for another team at each level. Decision will be made if there are enough players on 12/15.

ALL players are put on a waitlist and you will receive a confirmation when your player is removed from the waitlist. Once there are enough players for a team and a coach we will release the girls to a team and you will receive a confirmation email that you may use to make a payment online.  Players will be accepted first come first serve.

FRIEND REQUESTS: When signing up make sure you write all the Friends you want to play within the friends' request, we will do our best to accommodate this.

BAA offers Boys’ Basketball for youth in grades 7 - 8.  

A typical BAA basketball season consists of Player and Coach Clinics, pre-season practices, an exhibition game, 8-12 regular-season games, with 2 or 3 additional practices during the season, depending on the grade level. The program concludes an end-of-season tournament in mid-March. Players are grouped according to grade levels. 

 

When is the BAA Boys Basketball season?

The season is January to March

Player evaluations in mid-November.  

Each team will play two games or practices per week on consistent days

No Wednesday activities are scheduled.

2020 Floor Hockey

BAA’s Floor Hockey programs:

Girls in grades K through grade 12 

Mite Girls (grades 1-5) play Tuesday | Thursday 

Bantam Girls (grades 6-12) play Monday | Friday

Boys in 1st through 6th grade. ​

Mite Boys (grades 1-3) play Tuesday | Thursday

Bantam Boys (grades 4-6) play Monday | Friday

 

Games are played at Westwood, Valley View, and Oak Grove Elementary.

The seasons run from January 6th and end on Saturday, March 7th. 

Floor hockey is a fun, fast-paced game. The only equipment requirement is tennis shoes. Shin guards are recommended but not required. There are 2 set playing nights for each league, but no Weds night games. 

Due to the popularity of this sport, an occasional "off-league" night may be scheduled. Play is at either Westwood, Oak Grove Elementary, or Valley View Elementary schools.

Teams have up to 12 players, (10 at the midget/bantam level) with 5 players playing on the floor at a time. A game consists of (12) 3-minute shifts.

 

The fee for this sport is $80 for all levels

Volunteers are needed for coaching, refereeing, scorekeeping, and timers.

Welcome to the BAA registration site.

BAA’s mission is that all children have the opportunity to participate in organized sports regardless of their abilities or ability to pay.  Getting timely information helps ensure all children have the option to participate.  Please take the time to register each parent as well as all children under the age of 18 who currently or in the future may want to participate in BAA athletics.

Future sports sign-ups will be made easier for those registered!  Sign-ups will simply be a matter of verifying your data.  You can register to be a member starting today!  All registration data will remain completely confidential. 

BAA will not share data or use the data for anything but BAA sanctioned sports and information.
