2019-20 Big Mountain Team **** Scroll down to view ALL programs

The Bogus Big Mountain Team is for athletes ages U14 and older who are passionate about competing in a big mountain focused environment. This program’s primary focus is to create a training and competition atmosphere that is challenging, and relevant to the current and future potential of the athlete. The Bogus Big Mountain Team members compete in IFSA National and Intermountain Regional events. Seasonal training starts mid-October and ends mid-April. This program offers additional fall, spring, and summer training opportunities.

Bogus Big Mountain Team Goals:

  • Increase confidence while skiing all types of terrain.
  • Develop proficient skills in off-piste and steep terrain.
  • Create a positive environment for all athletes and staff.
  • Provide a pathway to be successful in competition.
  • To be helpful and encouraging to yourself, teammates, parents, staff, and coaches.

ON SNOW TRAINING
5 days per week – Tuesday and Wednesday evenings on-snow, Thursdays at the trampoline park, Saturday and Sunday on-snow from 9:00 am – 3:30 pm. Van transportation is provided on Tuesday and Wednesday Nights and to competitions, as well as all holiday training camps. Transportation is NOT provided on regular weekend training sessions.

ON SNOW SKI CAMPS
Summer Fundamentals Camp and a Pre-Thanksgiving Camp are offered to this team. Each project has a separate cost in addition to program tuition. 

DRYLAND TRAINING
Wednesday afternoon during October & November at Altitude Trampoline Park. Also, weight training on Tuesdays and Thursdays is available for an additional fee.

COMPETITION TRAVEL
Travel is arranged by the coach and an additional travel fee is applied after each event. The Team typically leaves a day before the event to give the athletes time to training at the competition venue.

REQUIRED COMPETITOR LICENSES (not included in tuition)
International Freeskier and Snowboarder Association (IFSA), Competitor License, and a US Ski & Snowboard General Membership to participate in camps

A Bogus Basin Season pass is required and must be purchased directly through Bogus Basin season pass office.  Pass prices are not included in BBSEF Team Fees.

The Bogus Freeski Team is for athletes ages U14 and older who are passionate about competing in a big mountain focused environment. This program’s primary focus is to create a training and competition atmosphere that is challenging, and relevant to the current and future potential of the athlete. The Bogus Freeski Team members compete in USASA National and Regional events, including slopestyle, rail jam, skiercross, and halfpipe. Seasonal training starts mid-October and ends mid-April. This program offers additional fall, spring, and summer training opportunities.

  • Increase confidence while skiing all types of terrain.
  • Develop proficient skills in the terrain park.
  • Create a positive environment for all athletes and staff.
  • Provide a pathway to be successful in competition.
  • To be helpful and encouraging to yourself, teammates, parents, staff, and coaches.

The Bogus Snowboard Team members compete in USASA and IFSA Regional and National events in big mountain, slopestyle, rail jam, boardercross, and halfpipe. Seasonal training starts mid-October and ends mid-April. This program offers additional fall, spring, and summer training opportunities.

2019-20 Associate Freeski/Snowboard Member Training Opportunities

BBSEF Home Team and Preparation Team Athletes are welcome to add mid-week training sessions and licensed members of Tamarack, Brundage, or Sun Valley are eligible to join BBSEF mid-week training. 

FREESKI & SNOWBOARD TRAINING & TRANSPORTATION SCHEDULE

U12/U14: ON-SNOW TRAINING
Wednesday Evenings w/ Bus Transport ~ $400.00 
January 8, 2020 - March 11, 2020 (10 sessions).                           
4:00 PM – The bus departs from the parking lot in front of City Church 2590 Bogus Basin Road, to head to the mountain.
7:30 PM – Departs the mountain to return to the parking lot in front of City Church around 8:15.

U12/U14: TRAMPOLINE TRAINING
Thursday Afternoons ~ $400.00 (plus a $12 site fee per session)
December 5, 2019 - March 26, 2020 (13 sessions), no transportation provided.
4:00-6:00 PM at Altitude Trampoline Park, Boise.

U14-U19: ON-SNOW COMPETITION TRAINING
Tuesday Evening w/ Van Transport ~ $500.00
