The Spotsylvania County Lacrosse Club (SCLC) is a non-profit organization working to promote the sport of Lacrosse by providing youth and high school programs at all skill levels. SCLC is a member of the Northern Virginia Youth Lacrosse League (NVYLL)
Online registration is still open for Boys U-9, U-11, U-13, and U-15 teams.
Important 2010 Spring Season Team Information
High School Team Eligibility: Players must be in high school (9th-12th grade) or if home schooled, at an age where the player would be in high school. Players in the 8th grade or below are not eligible to play in the high school program. There are no exceptions or waivers to this policy.
Freshman Player U-15 Option: High school freshmen who were born after 31 Dec 1994 may elect to play on the U-15 youth team if desired. This allows new and inexperienced players a season to learn the game before moving up to the high school program. Players may not transfer between youth and high school programs after registering. If you wish to register your high school freshman for the U-15 team, please select the U-15 team registration box.
Combined U-9/U-11 Team: SCLC has fielded a combined U-9/U-11 team during the last few seasons due to a limited number of players. Because neither the U-9 or U-11 divisions allow body checks, combining the two age divisions has not been a problem. If SCLC has enough players under ages 9 and 11, it will field separate U-9 and U-11 teams. This will not be determined until 20 February, 2010. Please register for the combined U-9/U-11 team and you will be contacted if separate U-9 and U-11 teams are created.

SCLC Registration Fees:SpotsylvaniaCounty Lacrosse Club (SCLC) registration is $175 for all programs. Cost for mandatory U.S. Lacrosse membership (new or renewal) will be charged separately (if applicable) during online registration. U.S. Lacrosse membership is $25 for youth players and $35 for high school players.
US Lacrosse Membership: If your son/daughter does not have U.S. Lacrosse membership, he/she will be enrolled as part of SCLC registration. Those with current U.S. Lacrosse memberships will have their memberships automatically renewed (if required). Current U.S. Lacrosse memberships must be valid through 15 June 2010 to be considered valid for the 2010 Spring season.
Fundraising/ Fundraising Buy-Out Option: The SCLC is a federally-recognized 501(C)3 non-profit organization. The cost to support a single player is approximately $300. Because registration fees do not cover all costs, SCLC relies on fundraising efforts to make up the difference. There will be at least two major fundraising activities scheduled for 2010. All players are required to participate in these fund-raising activities. Exception: In the event a player/family prefers not to participate in the fundraising activities, the SCLC Board has approved a fund raiser buy-out option which exempts the player from club fundraising activities. If you elect to "buy-out" of the club fundraising activities, the cost is $50 per player in addition to the regular registration fees.
Uniforms and Player Packages: The SCLC provides game uniforms for all players. Players will be provided (1) Home Jersey and (1) set of Game Shorts prior the beginning of season play. High school players will also receive (1) Away Jersey. Uniform sets will be returned to the SCLC at the end of the season. A refundable deposit ($50 for youth players/$75 for high school players) against loss or damage is required before receiving the uniform. Deposits will be refunded at the end of the season. If you wish to keep the uniform set at the end of the season, please contact SCLC.
Player Lax Packs: As part of your registration, your son/daughter will receive a Player Lax Pack which includes a reversible practice jersey, a pair of side panel practice shorts, an athletic cut performance t-shirt, and a hoodie. These are yours to keep. Please have your son's/daughter's clothing sizes available to input during the registration process.
