Registration for Summer Baseball & Softball
Registration for travel summer baseball and softball will end on June 14. Registration is open to Bedford and Hanscom AFB residents ages 9+. The summer season will begin in July, depending on the state entering Phase 3. Practices may be able to start during June. We cannot guarantee a spot for anyone who registers after 6/14.
GUIDELINES FOR SUMMER PLAY
Please note that while we are extremely excited to get back on the fields to play ball, we must do so while adhering to all social distancing guidelines from the state and town. If any of these guidelines are not followed, we risk an abrupt end to our season, and major disappointment for our players. These guidelines are highlighted below.
Masks and Hand Sanitizer
Any and all persons at the field, including players, parents, coaches, are encouraged to wear a mask AT ALL TIMES. Players do not have to wear a mask when actively participating in practices or a game but should when arriving and leaving. Players will need to provide their own masks. All players must bring their own hand sanitizer and sanitizing wipes to the field.
All families will be required to sign a waiver which states that despite all reasonable efforts, we cannot guarantee that you, your child, other family members, etc. cannot be held liable in any qay. You freely and knowingly accept the risk of participating in the summer 2020 season. Without the signed waiver, your child will not be allowed on the playing surface and will not be able to participate in any activities. This waiver will be available on our website and copies will be available at the first practice.
All players are required to bring their own baseball/softball equipment to include: glove, bat, mask, batting gloves, catcher’s equipment, batting helmet. If you do not own this equipment, please purchase and have available prior to the first practice. If you do not have the means to purchase, please know that we have ample gently-used equipment to offer for season use.
- Players may be subject to temperature checks.
- If anyone in your family is not feeling well, we would ask that your entire family (including player) STAY HOME. Please just communicate as you normally would with your coach.
- Parents must take care of their own trash utilizing receptacles and dumpsters.
- Porta-toilets WILL NOT be provided.
- Field points of contact including entry points such as gates, locks, door knobs, equipment container, bases etc. will be wiped down at the beginning and end of each practice by coaches.
We are thankful and excited that we are going to be able to play this summer. We can’t wait to see your child on the field making plays and smiling with their friends. It has been a long 3 months. We miss baseball and softball, and we miss our players.
