Heather Moran - 8th Grade Head Coach
Heather Moran moved to Norcross from Birmingham, Alabama in 1983 where she attended Berkeley Lake Elementary, Summerour & Pinckneyville Middle, and Norcross High schools. She started dancing at age 2 and cheered from 7th – 12th grade, including a competition squad went to Nationals in Texas her senior year. Most notably though, her cheer enthusiasm started at Cemetery Field with Norcross Dixie Youth (now called Norcross Youth Athletic Association)! In 1991, Heather continued her education at The University of Georgia in Athens and subsequently obtained her CPA. She currently resides in Norcross with her husband, Brad (also a Norcross graduate), twins, Hanna & Emma (12), and little one, Sara (6), and continues to practice her accounting & finance background as CFO of Pneuron Corporation.
Shemika Toby- 7th Grade Head Coach
This is Shemika's third consecutive year with the Norcross family. She has been involved with cheerleading and dance for over seven years and is continuing her training in both. She most recently assisted in coaching the Pinckneyville Middle School Cheerleaders for the 2012-2013 school year. Her main reason for coaching is to be an advocate for children and young adults, and providing them with the skills needed to be successful in life. She is currently earning her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education at Georgia Gwinnett College, where she studies different aspects of teaching and child psychology. She currently resides in Lilburn, Georgia with her husband, Atreus, and her daughter, Aniya.
Doris Mitchell- 6th Grade Head Coach
Doris Mitchell has been with the Norcross Youth Athletic Association for seven years and she has been coaching for six years. She believes in team building and promoting self determination. Each year Doris embraces her role as coach and strives to continue to impact her squad and her community.
Shaletha (Niki) Hunt- 5th Grade Head Coach
Shaletha (Niki) Hunt is a native of Decatur, GA where she attended Columbia High School. She began cheering at five years old and continued to cheer through high school. Niki obtained her B.A. in Psychology from Georgia Southern University and is continuing her education at Argosy University where she is pursuing an M.A. in Counseling Psychology. Her passion is interacting with children and she plans to work with adolescents and younger adults upon graduation. She currently resides in Lilburn, GA, with her husband Scott and two children, daughter Sky and son Seth.
Radethra Latimer - 3rd Grade Head Coach
Originally form Belton, South Carolina but currently resides in Norcross, Georgia with my husband and 4 children. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and currently work as an Evaluator & Teacher at Jacob's Ladder Neurodevelopmental School & Therapy Center in Roswell, Georgia. I was a basketball, football, & competitive cheerleader throughout high school. Along with my assistant coach, we lead last year's 1st grade squad to a 3rd place victory at Cheer Off 2012 and looking forward to another winning season!
