BOYS PROGRAMS:

NEW FORMAT CHANGES IN 2022: Scoopers was rolled into CLINIC and will be run by the AACO Coaches Association, and divisions were changed to only reflect grade levels.  Special consideration will be made for unique circumstances.  Clinic games will be held throughout AACO but may not necessary be on turf fields.

CLINIC: Pre-K through 2nd Grade (Teams will likely be broken into divisions based on Pre-K and K together, 1st  and 2nd grades together)
The Clinic program emphasizes basic skills and instruction while introducing some basic plays.  Clinic plays a 6 vs.6 format. Games are played on a modified field and rules are modified to eliminate heavy contact; no body checks.  One (1) pass rule applies. Games are officiated by coaches.
The Pee Wees, Midgets and Juniors division divides players and teams by skill level into divisions of AA, A, B, and C, providing highly challenging games week in and week out. All away games are played on Safety Turf fields throughout Anne Arundel County primarily on weekends with some games during the week. Games are refereed by league officials. The season ends with County and State Championship games for the top teams.
PEE WEE: 3rd and 4th Grades
The Pee Wee program continues to emphasize fundamentals and introduces more plays and strategy. Games are played on a full size field.

MIDDIES: 5th and 6th Grades
The Midget program starts the shift in emphasis to competition.  More advanced techniques are introduced while continuing to work on skills, key plays and strategies.
JUNIORS: 7th and 8th Grades

The Juniors program continues the emphasis on competition.  Advanced techniques are practiced while continuing to work on skills, key plays and strategies.

Age requirements are enforced by Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks. Players may not play down a level.
