CODE OF CONDUCT:Participant

NFC Basketball expects all Participants to:
Have model sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect for all participants at all times, including teammates, coaches, 
opposing players, officials and parents. It is also expected that participants will make no visible or audible complaints 
or protests about officiating during play of the game. Keep open communication between yourself and your coach.  
Be humble in victory and courteous in defeat, lining up and shaking hands with your opponent at game end.

The League and Coaches further expect Participants to:
Attend and be on time for all practices and games or notify coaches in advance.
Follow the direction of coaches, respecting the fact that they are giving freely of their own time to make this league possible

All people associated with the game are always expected to act with sportsmanship, dignity and respect for others. 
This includes coaches, parents, participants and referees.

Poor sportsmanship includes:

Arguing with coaches, officials, teammates, opponents  or spectators
Using threatening or profane language
Baiting or taunting coaches, officials, teammates, opponents or spectators
Unsafe play
Uncontrolled behavior in the bench area

Poor sportsmanship will carry, at a minimum, the following consequences:

First Offense		Verbal warning
Second Offense	        	Dismissal from the game
Third Offense		Dismissal from the next game
Fourth Offense	        	Dismissal from the team

We, parent(s) and player, have discussed the NFC Basketball Code of Conduct and agree to abide by it. 
We understand that there is no refund or recourse for dismissal from our program as a consequence of breaking 
this Code of Conduct.

CODE OF CONDUCT: Parent/Guardian/Spectator

The League, Players and Coaches expect Parents and Fans to:
Support coaches as needed and don't coach from the floor.
Arrange for players to be at games and practices timely and ensure that coaches are notified 
of absences. Provide positive support and encouragement.Be an example of good sportsmanship 
by demonstrating respect and positive support of all players, coaches and officials at every game, 
practice or other youth sports activity.

The parent/guardian/spectator insists that my child play in a safe and healthy environment. 
I will demand a drug, alcohol and tobacco-free environment for my child and agree to refrain 
from their use at all youth sports events. I will encourage my child to treat other players, 
coaches, officials and fans with respect regardless of race, sex, creed or ability. I will s
upport the league by assisting with coaching or officiating, performing maintenance, becoming 
a VBD or whatever I am capable of doing, as well as being a respectful and sportsman-like fan 
and spectator. I will not make any alterations to league-issued apparel. I understand that a 
violation of this code may result in the suspension or termination of my child's participation 
in the NFC Basketball league.
