Q1:  I registered my child, How do I make a payment?

A:   Go to the www.glastonburysoccer.org web page.  Click on "Edit My Account" on the left blue menu tabs.  Enter old email address and your current password.  You will be brought to a page with your family member's names and programs they have previously registered.  On the bottom right corner you will see a Mastercard/Visa box that says PAY NOW.  Click that box and you will be brought into a payment screen.  Enter credit card information etc.  Click each member’s name.  A participant’s page will be displayed.

Q2:  How do I change my Email address on my member record?

A:   Go to the www.glastonburysoccer.org web page.  Click on "Edit My Account" on the left blue menu tabs.  Enter old email address and your current password.  You will be brought to a page with your family member's names and programs they have previously registered.  Click each member's name.  A participant's page will be displayed.  Change all necessary data (email address) and click the submit button at the bottom of the page.  Repeat the change for ALL family members if applicable (email addresses, phone numbers etc).

Q3:  How do I know if I still have a game when there is bad weather outside?

A:   Field closings will be noted in the scrolling marquee on the home page of the Hartwell website.  Please check the Hartwell website before heading to any games/practices/training sessions if in doubt.  While the safety of our players is our main concern unless the fields are deemed unplayable or lightning/thunder is in the area, all practices and games should be played.  Games and practices should be held unless the fields are closed.

Q4: Does Hartwell Soccer Club reimburse Coaches for Licenses?

A:  Hartwell‘s current policy is to reimburse coaches the cost of the certification, up to a maximum of $50 for Youth Coaching Module, $100 for E License and $200 for D License. Proof of course payment (copy of credit card receipt/statement or canceled check), a copy of the state or national certificate, and the completed expense reimbursement form are required for reimbursement. Click here for the reimbursement form. Mail the completed and signed form, and supporting documentation, to Glastonbury Hartwell Soccer Club, PO Box 1154, Glastonbury, CT 06033. The form will be reviewed and approved by a board member, and reimbursement will be sent to the address on the form. Please allow up to 4-6 weeks after the form and supporting documentation has been mailed to GHSC for reimbursement.

Q5: Does Hartwell Soccer Club have a Financial Aid Policy?

A: Yes. Please click the link on the left where the current Financial Aid Policy can be found.

Q6: What size Soccer Ball does my child need?

Pre-K  to  2nd Grade

Size 4

3rd Grade to 5th Grade
6th Grade (Travel)

Size 5

6th Grade (Rec) to Adult

Q7: A group of people who are not GHSC members are playing on our soccer field.  What do I do?

A:  Asking to see a permit is the right thing to do.  Coaches should explain they are with the Glastonbury Hartwell Soccer Club and have been assigned the fields by Parks and Recreation. They should tell the group that the Police, if called will expect them to show a permit as permission to use the field. Hopefully this is enough to get them to leave.

If a Coach has to call the Police, be sure they explain they are with GHSC and are scheduled with Parks & Recreation to use the field at that time.  They should let the Police know they have tried to talk with the group who has not showed a permit and won't leave.

Q8. I am interested in becoming a referee with Hartwell.  What do I do?

A.  Hartwell needs referees for both our travel and recreational soccer programs.

To become a referee, you need to be 13 by June 30 and successfully complete an on-line training course, field session and final exam, administered by the CT Junior Soccer Association. You must re-certify each year. Information is available at http://www.ctreferee.net/. Once you are certified, the Glastonbury travel ref coordinator will make you available to referee travel games.  Please contact glastonbury-rec.ref@cox.net to referee recreational games.
