(Important) Pre-Season Coach Registration Process

There are a number of steps you need to take to be allowed to meet with kids or serve in an official capacity for HSC.  Some are required by Massachusetts, others are required by state soccer and the league (MYSA/NVYSL), and others are required by our local club.  This applies to coaches, assistant coaches, team managers, and various club staff.  Some of these steps only apply for those that are part of the travel program with NVYSL, and those are marked as such below. Final clearance is by the HSC registrar (Jin Qian, email address qianjinttv at gmail.com).  Please make sure you follow the instructions below before the first practice session of the season to avoid being left off team roster or not being able to meet with the kids.

For the 2019-2020 year, MYSA's Adult Registration system has changed. Use the website below to register:

http://harvard.mayouthsoccerconnect.org

After registration, login to your Adult Registration account to check CORI status often to make sure it is approved. Print the CORI Acknowledge Form. It takes up to a few days to be approved, so do the Adult Registration early.

CORI Verification - If you are a new coach, see the HSC registrar in person, bring MYSA CORI Acknowledge Form and a Photo-ID. The best time to do this is at the pre-season coaches' meeting. CORI Verification only needs to be done once as long as you remain a member of the Harvard Soccer Club.

Also after registration, you must upload "Concussion Training certificate" (best way is to click the link to do the training this year), "Abuse Prevention Certificate" (must click the link to do the training this year), and make sure you've uploaded your photo (must be a clear head shot of a single person, no hat, no sunglasses). You don't need to upload "Safety/Additional Certification". See a screen shot example below:

After all these are done and your CORI and NBG are approved (takes a few days), your 2019-2020 credential will be issued. Without the credential, you can not officially work for HSC and take the field. The credential is required when you arrive at the field.

Although MYSA allows 2018-2019's credentials to be used in September 2019, everyone should start the 2019-2020 registration early to allow time for processing.

Reporting U10+/Travel game results

Please report results promptly on the day of the game on the online document form provided for this. Select "Report Results" from the home page navigation menu, submit season's access password, and follow link.  You may bookmark the accessed season document URL to speed up game info entry, but do not share the link or password with any other than currently-active travel coaches.
